Hives
My poor baby has hives. Tuesday morning I noticed two small red circles on his thighs, I thought it might be insect bites, didn't think much of it. A few hours later his legs where covered in them, I gave him Benadryl and he was fine. Then next day the same thing Benadryl and hydrocortisone cream and he was fine. Until Thursday night. His legs and even his arms where even more covered! I was scared! Took him to the doctor today and turns out he has hives (urticaria). After talking to the doctor I've narrowed it down to two culprits, almonds or ibuprofen. Now all I have to do is continue to give him Benadryl and using the cream and make sure he doesn't eat anything with almonds. I hope it works. After all that, his behavior and appetite have not changed at all as you can tell by this...
I love this boy!!!!

....
I did say I was going to try to do better at this, but the time has gone by so fast! I've been really busy, actually overwhelmed is a better word. In the meantime here is a cute picture of Jacob. I need a name for this, I might just hang it up on our front door as a deterrent.

Something new
It's about time I came back to this! I was just not feeling it. Hopefully I'll do better, but for now I'll just share some of the highlights of the last few months.
The kids loved spending time with their cousins in Utah this summer.
We also enjoyed visiting with my Uncle, Aunt and cousins in Georgia. They have a gorgeous home. We also celebrated Jared's birthday there, they are the best hosts! Jacob loved the dogs.
Jacob turned 1 on August 27. We had lots of friends and family come celebrate with us. It was great having everyone there, thanks Wendy for taking all the pictures, otherwise we would not have any!
Jared and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary, can you believe it?!!. He took me to Charley's Steakhouse for dinner and gave me diamond earrings. Love him!
Halloween, aren't they cute?!
We had Thanksgiving at our house with the Joneses and the Carrs. It was the best Thanksgiving we've had in a looooong time! I made the turkey and it turned out beautiful but I forgot to take pictures :(
Christmas was great!
We also went to Shula's for Christmas dinner with the family.
Tim Tam Slams, soooo yummy!!!
We also said goodbye to some of my favorite people :( We miss them but are glad to call them friends. People like them don't come around too often.
New Year's Eve was spent with great friends. We had food, fireworks and played Michael Jackson The Experience Wii game, so much fun!!
Last but not least, Sarah had her first piano recital and Bella sang, they were great! We saw the most recent total lunar eclipse, went to Disney and froze our butts off, but we met the Little Mermaid and finally made it to Tom Sawyers Island, very cool!
What a great year!!!

What we did on our summer vacation (part 1)
I think it's time for me to stop being so lazy and post something on this blog.
This summer we went to Utah. We had a great time visiting with my sister. We did a lot of lounging around, played outside, made s'mores and lounged around some more. It was great!

We visited Temple Square and watched the Pioneer Day Parade. When we lived in Utah we went every year, it was fun sitting on our old parade spot again.

On our way back home we stopped in Winter Quarters, Nebraska and Nauvoo. We were finally able to see the pageant, before the pageant started there where games and dancing, it was so much fun! We also went to Carthage Jail . If you ever get the chance, go to Nauvoo and see the pageant, it was an uplifting experience.

I couldn't forget the windmills! We must have seen thousands of windmills driving thru the Midwest!
