July '26

Hi!
July is my favorite- right in the middle of the summer break from school when we are living our best lives finding fun and relaxation. We went to San Diego and to St George in July, which got their own posts, but look at all of the other fun things we did.
Uncle Jordan was in Tarzan so Gramma took the boys to see his play. Look how many people showed up to watch him= lots of cousins and friends:

I got to go watch Aunt Laura in her play:
Great Grandpa turned 90 and we had a party:

More 4th of July fun:

Adz got his hair cut:

We got free chicken sandwiches:

Lulu took us to the shelter a bunch of times to play with the kittens:
There was also a GSP in there who tugged at our heartstrings a bit. We took him out to the play area one day:
TJ had a patriotic recital:

Hammer worked at Cherry Hill a lot. He earned a McDonald's reward from work and treated himself one day:
For a Field Trip Friday one day we went up the mountain to watch the sunset. It was pretty perfect:

Dad's work had a summer party at Boondocks:
Lulu found the courage to pierce her ears:
She needed her Mom and her BFF to be there for support:
Friday Field Trip on the 24th was to visit and learn about some of the original buildings in our area:
And a final Friday Field Trip in July was to the 4H club's fair in Kaysville. We were hoping to catch a herding program of some kind but that ended up being canceled, so we just enjoyed looking at the pigs and sheep and goats:

The End!
Love you- Mom

Joshua Tree National Park

The final morning of our California road trip was spent at a new national park. The day started out cloudy and cool, which was unusual and much appreciated:

We did a few short hikes and stopped for pictures where it looked cool:

This is the highest point in the park, that you can drive to:
And here is a small slot canyon that isn't on the park brochures but we saw it online and had to check it out. It was cool:

We left the canyon through this little hole that we had to squeeze through on our hands and knees:
As we exited, we noticed that if he had just backtracked it would have been really quick and easy. Oh well. It was an experience.
More tree pictures:

This skull rock is right off the road:
On the way home we drove through a freak thunderstorm in Cedar City. Our windshield wipers were on full blast:
Then the rest of the way home was fine, and we had a nice sunset:

It was a fun trip. Thanks for being fun travelers.
Love,
Mom
