Derek and I secretly want to be 18-25, so we can go to Passion!

Long time, no blog. 

I know.  

I've been in a deep funk of my employers bankruptcy 

and lots of conversations with my bff flying buddy 

about what in the world we are going to do.

Times are a changin.

kinda scary.

heavy on my heart.

On another note...

can anyone tell me how in the world I can produce a 

Little Man????

because that's what my girls are asking for, for Christmas.

nice.

Could they rub some more salt in the wound?

Instead, I think they shall be getting some bricks

or chickens and goats

or a microfinance loan for Brooks!

the day after Halloween

Don't all moms do this the day or two after Halloween?

Raid their kids halloween candy??

And then text their bff with their guilty conscious!

Totally not what I should have been doing in the middle of the day!

and HOT TAMALES??!! 

where were the hot tamales??

not one box of hot tamales in any of my kids bags!

so disappointing.

Like I said...

eating candy and texting about it in the middle of the day is not what I should have been doing..

but after reading another one of Jen Hatmaker's blog posts...

well, I was a blubbering fool that could only be soothed with chocolate and a bff.

If you are an adoptive momma/family or even if you aren't and you haven't read Jen Hatmaker.

Well you are missing out on some serious gold people.

She will have you peeing your pants from laughing and crying your eyes out in every.single.post.

I kid you not.

Birthday

Friday was my birthday! It was sweet!

My BFF Aimee and I started it out with a work out.

We talked about the mission trip to Brazil that she just got back from. 

Awesome.

Then we went for pedi's.

Not something I usually splurge on, but you only turn 41 once!

  Halle Caroline and Cassidy came with us for pedi's

I came home to find THIS! Awesome hubby! Huge points for that!

Joe T's for dinner. My fav and it's a tradition!

It was a great birthday!
In the back of my mind, I was kinda hoping for that referral call on my birthday.
