The last couple of years,
our gym has gone to a competition in San Antonio.
It is always a super fun time!
This year we managed to fit in a trip to Sea World.
but really,
when you are with a bunch of cheerleaders...
it's all about where you can stunt.

And this is what happens to little brother when he is around a bunch of cheerleaders.
He gets stunted, whether he likes it or not.
Clearly he has not learned to
"stay tight and lock out"
One of the most fun things about this competition is that most everyone stays in the same hotel.
And this hotel....
goes.all.OUT for our entire gym.
Like some serious red carpet action.
You cannot even know- the level of awesomeness.
The entire hotel is decorated for Spirit Xtreme.
a makeup room just for the girls to get ready
with all kinds of hairspray, bobby pins, and anything else you can think of.
oh and refreshments
and a fancy coffee bar for the moms!

And this little moment...
probably one that I will not soon forget.
It's one of the million reasons we love our gym.
Ellison is a great little flyer.
And I'm pretty sure-- that I can think of --
she has never fallen in a competition.
And this one time--
things just didn't go right...
and well, one little stunt didn't go as planned.
She was upset, because, that rarely happens to her.
But Melissa (gym owner, coach)
came and found her as soon as they got off the stage...
and gave her the sweetest little pep talk.
