Easter.... and catch up.

This is a long post, be forewarned.  We started our Easter Sunday with an amazing church and worship service.... with 2 of my favorite worship leaders... ohhhhhh, it just doesn't get any better than that! Just sets the tone for the whole day.  And then we headed over to the Cheathams for lunch and some egg hunting.

Well, we enjoyed another Easter Sunday as a family of 5.  I remember that when we took this picture .... I thought that for sure it would be our last Easter picture without Little Man. I was so wrong! :(

I'm gonna do this post backwards from Easter and backing up... cuz, I want the family picture first! ha!

oh! and let me just say... for the record... it was kinda gross and muggy... and thus the ponytail in my hair.  I'm vain like that... had to explain. ha!  oh and btw - I didn't wear that dress to church either.  For the 1st time, I didn't buy an Easter outfit... just didn't... so the dress I wore to church, I decided I wasn't a fan of, so I changed.  Like anyone cares.... but I'm just saying, for when I look back at this in 20 years... and wonder why I had that dress on and also why my hair was in a ponytail (and because I usually make it about 30 minutes of everyday with my hair down until it goes in a ponytail.)... that's why. enough about me.

moving on to my adorable kids....

Even Little Man got a basket!

Moving backwards to Easter morning and baskets...

and still backwards to Saturday to our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt... where one of my daughters was the Easter Bunny!  She did a really great job!

Brooks and his friend Brandon played football instead of hunting eggs.

This is the picture where I threatened the Easter Bunny for a grounding until next Easter if she dropped this 5 day old baby!!!!!! Sweet sister K has a new baby brother, K! Darling!

dying eggs that night

And backing up to over a week ago!  Sweet Mrs. Suzanne... hosted a cinnamon roll making party... while teaching us how to make cinnamon rolls and also benefitting the Noel Orphanage in Rwanda and helping adoptive families raise funds to bring their little ones home.  I sold Ordinary Hero gear and also the monogrammed beach towels.  I am so very thankful that Suzanne threw this fun little shin dig.  We had a great time!   And...I am so happy to be traveling this road with these 2 precious girls! Can't wait for them to bring their babies home from Ethiopia and Rwanda!

Okay.... I think I'm caught up now!

Beach Towels for Little Man!

THE BEACH TOWEL BLAST!!!!

A sweet reader friend asked me to do a separate post on the beach towels so that she could post on Facebook.  How sweet is that!?!!! This blog world just blows me away sometimes!  Thank you so much Faith for posting!  You are an absolute doll!

Yes, I'm crazy and I'm doing the monogrammed beach towels again this year. Last year was crazy... I monogrammed like 120 some odd beach towels! Seriously!  And I'm crazy enough to do it again! Only because we STILL have an enormous amount of money to raise/save up to bring Little Man home from Ethiopia!

So here they are.... this year's newest adorable, awesome beach towels.... so if you need gifts, or you need them for your kids, or yourself.... remember these great beach towels, because everyone needs one!

Okay--- I think that catches me up on all the latest happenings for the Cheathams!

Ranger Game

We were so lucky to get to go to the Rangers home opener!!! I just LOVE opening day... it just truly means that summer is around the corner! We have friends with season tickets and they "helped" us get tickets.  We have been dealing with a bunch of very yucky grown up stuff for a while now... it was just so fun and refreshing to have a family day and forget about our worries.  The girls even loved it... and it was a long, hot game!

We even had one extra ticket, so brooks invited his friend Cooper.  Cooper is a complete and total crack up.  Cooper's dad and Derek have been friends since kindergarten.  It is so funny because they both act so much like their dads.  Cooper is a ham and Brooks just watches him and laughs his head off!

Fourteen, it can't be!

I'm playing a little catch up here. Here is Brooks birthday post over a week late! Sorry brooksie!

My how the time flies.  This baby boy just grew up way too fast.  In honor of his 14th birthday... here are 14 things that I love about Brooks:

1.  The hugs he walks up and gives me daily for no reason at all.

2.  That he reads his Bible every single night before he goes to sleep.

3.  He is super smart and very responsible with all of his schoolwork without even a single reminder about anything from us.

4.  He picks great friends

5.  He is super Bible knowledgeable (is that even a word?)

6.  He is very polite with adults.

7.  That he will wear "adoption rocks", "charity:water", 147 million orphans, etc t-shirts to his public school and is happy to talk about the subject matter.

8.  He is so excited about teaching his new little brother every sport under the sun!

9.  That he was relentless about the subject of us adopting! (even when we thought it was the craziest idea in the world at first!)

10. That he will give us the "what for" if the radio station in the car ventures off of Christian music to something like Katy Perry or celo green.

11. That he just finished reading Radical by David Platt! Seriously what 14 year old reads Radical!?!?

12. He can give you the "lowdown" on any professional/ college team or player at any given time from world cup soccer to hockey to tennis to MLB baseball to football. A little too much ESPN? Maybe.

13. He loves to be home with family.

14. He loves the Lord with all his heart!

Dinner outing to Babe's after he rocked his tennis tournament!
