Honky Tonkin' In Nashville

In July, Emerson and I went to visit Pops and Grandma for a week. Chris flew up with us for the first weekend and then came back to Charleston to work. Mandy brought Madison and Carter on Sunday and then Brian, Kate and Troy arrived Thursday evening. It was a fun week. We went to the pool at the club, it is like a resort! We spent a lot of time on the front porch of Grandma and Pop's house, went to Build A Bear at the mall and even went to the Nashville Zoo. On Saturday, we had an Entertainment Shower and Brunch for Kate. It was very nice and Kate got some beautiful entertainment pieces.
Thank you Grandma and Pops for having us and we will see you soon.

Wild Dunes With The Hartford Family

The Hartford Family made their way down to Wild Dunes for their annual family vacation, so Emerson and I went to visit and hit the beach. The girls (Emerson and Kinsley, they are 2 days apart) had a ball playing in the sand and walking ALL over the beach and Nate (3) had fun eating his sucker and "surfing". It was great to see Kristy and Karen along with their family. Kristy starts teaching at a brand new elementary school next week, so wish her good luck.

Thanks for letting us join you guys at the beach! Hope to see you soon!

One of Emerson's friends, Hadley, gave her these little mermaid panties for the beach, it goes with the matching t shirt- so cute!

A Visit From Grammy and Grandad

Last weekend, Grammy and Grandad came to Charleston to play with Emerson so I could get some errands done around town and for us all to visit. We went to the beach on Friday with the Moye girls and on Saturday we went to The Little Gym to show off her new skills. Emerson is quite the little climber now...

Thanks Grammy and Grandad, see you soon.

Beach babe.
Emerson loves bouncy ball time.
Showing off her donkey kicks.
Grandad put his socks on Emerson and she loved sliding around the kitchen.

Emerson's First Kiss

The Smith Family came by to visit on their way out of town last Saturday and the kids played in the yard for a little bit. I took a few good ones of Wilson while Emerson was trying to keep up with him. Wilson planted a good one on Emerson. She didn't know what to think at first, but I secretly don't think she minds an older man. Time will tell!

Going in for the BIG one!

Boating And The Beach

Our favorite thing to do on Saturday mornings is to hit the boat and head out to the beach. We usually anchor on Morris Island and Emerson will play with her beach toys and loves splashing in the water. Today was a monumental day for Emerson- she did not cry when we put the life jacket on her! This is huge!

We picked up the Moye Family and took the boat out for a spin. We got to Morris Island and after about 5 minutes of being there, my little angel got stung by a jellyfish! She was just standing there and it washed up around her right leg. I felt sooooo bad. We washed it down with more saltwater, a cold compress and some anti sting cream and I tell you what, the kid rebounded like a champ. She just played and played and had a ball. Chris and I were both very proud of her for "pushing through the pain" as Chris said, and being a big girl wearing her life jacket. Here are a few cute pictures of us at the beach today and from the other day when the girls were playing on Sullivan's Island.

Recovering at home on her giraffe.

Darn jellyfish!

The Moye Family- it was Mads first time on a boat today, she loved it.
