Happy 3rd Birthday, Emerson!

Happy Birthday, Emerson!  It is hard to believe that 3 years ago, on June 2nd, 2008 you finally came into our lives!  You have brought us so much joy and laughter.  Just a few of the cute things you are doing at this time: 

You love to give Brooks kisses on his feet- all the time.  You call Brooks "Buddy", "Little Buddy", or "Brooksy Poo."  When he gets up in the morning, you climb into his crib and sing the "Good Morning Song" but add happy birthday at the end of it.  When we go on walks or bike rides, every house we see with an American flag, we have to stop so you can say the pledge of allegiance (to every flag you see).  You learned it at school this past year and just surprised us and said it one day.  When you need help, you say it in 4 syllables,"Heyelllp."  You can count to ten in Spanish.  You have just recently started wiping off my kisses, you think it is funny!  You love to have your toenails painted (that's my girl)!  You still love Dora and have become a big Woody and Buzz fan.  You love Dunkin Donuts munchkins.  You are deathly afraid of Monkey Joe and Chucky Cheese but enjoy going to both establishments!

Happy 1st Birthday, Brooks!

May 14, 2010 was a very special day for our family of 3, we became a family of 4. Happy Birthday, Brooks. You have brought so much joy into our lives. We love you so much and are so proud of our "Little Buddy."

You are not walking yet but you are cruising along and love to push your radio flyer wagon. You are a super eater, although you tend to throw the second half of your meal all around the floor or rub it in your hair. You love graham crackers, goldfish, avocados and will not eat mandarin oranges at all!

It is so cute to come into your room each morning and see that happy, smiling face! You are my little angel. Emerson loves to sing to her brother each morning when he wakes up. She will crawl into the crib with him and sing, "Good morning to you, good morning to you, good morning to Booksy, happy birthday to you." She gives him a big hug and a zuber on his tummy. Then he pulls her hair and they wrestle! I will have to get this on tape.

Spring Pictures

Just wanted to share with you a sneak peek of the Spring pictures that my sister in law, Mandy, took of the kids while she was visiting this past week. Fun with Cousins

Aunt Mandy, Madison and Carter are here for the week visiting while on their Spring Break. The kids are having a ball together. We went to the Aquarium today and watched the new 4D Dora and Diego Save the Rain Forest Movie. It was really neat except for Emerson crying the entire thing on my lap! She wasn't expecting the mist, bubbles and wind. Just thought I would post a few cute pictures. I am trying to get back up to date with my blog!

Thomas Hampton Rhea

Born at 6:34pm on Sunday, February 20th (3 weeks early)

Weighing in at a tiny 6 pounds and 9 ounces

19 inches

Hampton is so tiny, he is too small for the newborn clothes Melissa and Thomas have for him! He is a precious little boy and we were thrilled to be in Greenville and meet him. Melissa and Thomas are enjoying being parents and love to snuggle with the little guy. So far Hampton has been a good sleeper and eater- lets hope that continues!
