Baby vs. Bottle

This is Jace, the baby in question.

This is Jace with the alleged bottle.


As you can see, they are not friends. I guess that rubbery, slimey nipple is not enticing. So that is our latest quest--trying to get Jace to take a bottle. It has not been pretty but must be done sooner or later. Any tips, advice, anecdotes or wise cracks?

Recent Happenings

The Little House on the Swamp has been busy having fun lately. First and foremost, we had Jace's baby blessing on Sunday, March 29th. It was a great day--lots of family were in town for the big event including Chris' Grandmas and Grandpa, parents, sister Mo & fam, Aunt Sheila & Uncle Dave with their boys, and last but certainly not least, my sister Melissa and husband Mike.

All the lovely girls the day Jace was blessed.

The cool thing was that Mike & Melissa stayed the whole week so we could enjoy some FL fun together! Therefore, we did lots of stuff like museum, Universal Studios, tennis, Wii, pool, the other kind of pool, St. Augustine, lake stuff, oh yes, and who could forget alligator sighting. (Where we thought we were going to get chomped up by a gator.) We had a great time.

This is when we met up with Lucy and Ricky at Universal.

Unfortunately it all came to an end and we are back in Gainesville. Which is ok...we are still having an excellent time here. And then...Jace will be 9 weeks old tomorrow! He had his 2 month check-up on Monday. The numbers are: 14 lbs 12 oz, 24 inches long and 42 inch head circumference. He is currently really into chewing on his fingers, cooing, and smiling tons!
