CAMPING TRIP

We found a fun hill while we were camping the boys could play on. While Dusty was gone hunting they boys ran up and down this hill for hours. They were a mess by the time we got done but they had fun. Range and I waited at the bottom while they made trains and went down over and over again.

ONE LAST CAMPING TRIP

We decided to take a last camping trip before it got cold. We went up Friday, September 3 when Rayce got out of school. It was so fun being in the mountains with nothing to worry about. We came home Saturday and made a trip to the lake :) (No pictures). Then we went to church on Sunday and Monday was Labor day so we went back up Sunday night. My brothers came up Sunday so they could go hunting on Monday. The boys helped Dusty cut fire wood and had a fun time. They love that they can get dirty and nobody cares. They get to play in the fire, roast marshmellows, and just run around and yell. We had such a good time camping and spending time together... It does make it alot nicer to have a camper that has a heater that works so we don't have to wake up freezing cold!

RAYCE WINS AWARD

On back to school night, Neola Elementary had a contest. Rayce won an award for have the biggest vegtable. We had taken one of our zucchini squash and it was HUGE!

MY RIDGE

We were outside taking pictures of Rayce on his first day of school and Ridge really wanted to be in on the action. I decided not to put him in any school this year. I think it will be good for me and him to spend time together. I have put him in gymnastic which he LOVES! Everyone I tell that he is in gymnastic he says "Well that fits him". He is so flexible and loves to do tricks. Gymnastics is definatley his thing!

RAYCE'S FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Rayce's first day of school was Tuesday, August 24, 1010. He is in 1st grade this year. He was so excited to go to school all day long. He couldn't believe that he would have 4 recesses. One before school, morning recess, lunch recess, and afternoon recess. Rayce has many of his friends in his class this year. He is sad that one of his best friends will be gone to Roosevelt to school. But I have promised him he will still be able to play with him. School starts at 8:00 am this year - which I am not in love with. Rayce is also excited that he will be able to ride the bus home after school. It won't come all the way to our house so I will have to go pick him up. I am not sure how I feel about him going to school all day. He is so excited and so ready. He reads very well and is smart - we will just miss him here at home :)

WAYKE'S IN SCHOOL

Wayke is in pre-school this year. He goes to USU Pre-school. His teacher is Shirlene Law and she is a great lady. We went to an open house a couple of days ago and Dusty said "When Heavenly Father made Shirlene Law, he had kids in mind" She is so good with the kids. We worried about how he would do but he is doing great. Since his birthday is in June we have debated whether we would hold him back or not. I do have him registered to go to pre-school again next year and we will wait and see what we will do. He is smart and ready to go, we just want him to be EXTRA ready :)

CHANGE * CHANGE * CHANGE

*WARNING... COMPLAINING AHEAD*

My nerves are GONE! I have a baby who thinks a few 15 minute cat naps a day are enough. And no, that doesn't mean he sleeps at night. He still gets up 2 or 3 times then thinks 6:00 am is an acceptable time to get up for the day. You may suggest car rides to put him asleep - tried that... You may suggest noise in his room, maybe a fan - have that... You may suggest lavendar - done that... You may suggest routine - trying that... You may say it is time for him to cry himself to sleep, tried that and he NEVER gives up... I am honestly going to go crazy. I feel so bad for my younger two because I feel like I am constantly telling them to be quiet because I am trying to get the baby to sleep, just got the baby to sleep, or need to get the baby to sleep. Our life is revolving around his "sleep" or no sleep I guess. AND I NEED SLEEP TOO!

Next, Dusty got a new calling on Sunday... Branch President! I have had a feeling for a while that it may be him but I would push it aside with, our kids are to young. Apparently not because I am now going to be sitting alone with 4 kids under 6 years old. I know Dusty will do a great job - everyone loves him and he is so good to people. He truly has the pure love of Christ for everyone. He can find good in everyone he meets. He is the best guy in the world. I am just a little nervous of making it to church, let alone on time :) However I know there will be blessings that come with his service.

Now, how do you accept a dirty house??? I feel like I am always on my kids case if there toys are out, if they leave their shoes out, if they don't put away their clothes. I really want to be "ok" with my house not being in order but honestly, it drives me CRAZY! Don't get me wrong, my house isn't spotless (or even close) but I want be happy and ok that it isn't. I don't want it to occupy my mind anymore!

One last story - Today we were walking and Wayke was asking me about Heaven and when we are going there. I told him when we die we go to Heaven. He then asked me when we are going to die. I tried, the best I could to a 4 year old, that we don't know when we are going to die. He said "Mom, I will never die because I am going to wear my seatbelt!"
