WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING!

Rayce got the movie "Bolt" and he wanted his picture taken with Bolt!

Then he wanted to do what Penny does and take a picture of him and I together :)

A couple of days ago - WHEN IT WAS WARM - I was mowing the lawn and it always is a family affair to mow. The kids love to ride a long :)

The story of our life... We got Ridge out of the bath tub and dressed... Walked back in and he was back in... So we start the process over!

Last night I had a meeting and Rayce went with me. On our way home out of the blue Rayce asked, "Mom, do skunks go poop or just spray stinky stuff?" I thought I was going die... It was so funny.

On Tuesday Ridge and Wayke both starting getting a cold and fevering. I took them to the doctor yesterday. Ridge's oxygen level ws 81% and Wayke was 93%. When I saw that Ridges was 81% I was so scared he was going to make him stay. He says that Ridge has pnemonia and probably RSV and probably Croop - pretty much everything. He said he didn't look sick enough to be put in the hospital (which is what we were told both times with Wayke then ended up in the hospital). I was so glad he let us come home. We are doing breathing treatments every 1-2 hours. He is on a antibiotic because he said his ears and throat didn't look very good. Wayke is also getting breathing treatments - not quite as often. So if you need to find me... I'll be home probably for a while!

RAYCE

Today Rayce's church lesson was on animals. They went through the list of why Heavenly Father gave us cows - for milk... Why Heavenly Father gave us sheep - for wool (clothes)... Then his teacher (his grandma) said he gave us chickens for eggs. Rayce said, "That isn't why he gave us chickens, that is why he gave us Wal-Mart!"

Last week Wayke and Ridge didn't feel good so I was staying home from chuch with them. Rayce was still sleeping when Dusty was leaving (because of the time change) so we decided he would just stay home too. The minute Dusty left Rayce comes walking out of his room and asks "Did dad go to church?" I reply "Yes". He says "Good, I was fake sleeping in my bed until he left so I wouldn't have to go to church today!" Ya - he's only 5...

WE OFFICIALLY LIVE ON A FARM

As if the 170 cows, 3 horses, and 6 bulls didn't qualify us to call ourselves farmers - we now have more. The 18 chicks I hatched are now big CHICKENS. Then I decided I needed some more chicks, oh and why not get some baby ducks too! The boys have always loved rabbits so why not add 2 of those... Then a cow wouldn't claim her calf so lets put it in the chicken coop too! So our running total is... 18 chickens, 11 chicks, 3 ducks, 2 rabbits, and one calf all in the chicken coop! (By the time we feed the calf 2 or 3 times a day, feed and water all the other animals and we have been feeding all the BIG cows too - its a big JOB! Now I can say I have a J.....O......B!) Oh, and I have 31 eggs in the incubator :)

THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS...

There isn't much to blog about lately. The weather is cold and WINDY... I thought I would tell about a few of my favorite things right now:

1: Coconut Creme Kisses - YUMMY! These are so good you can't just eat one or two or even three - I find myself at the candy cupboard every minute getting more!
#2: Triscuit: Cracked Pepper & Olive Oil - If you are planning a romantic evening I wouldn't eat these before - they don't help your breath! But they taste delicious!

#3 - Refrigerator-Microwaveable Bran Muffins - When I was at college my roommate had these and I always wanted a recipe for them. Finally a couple of days ago I got a bright idea and looked on the Internet... You make the recipe then each time you want a muffin you put some batter in a cup and microwave it for 1 - 1:30 minutes. The are delicious and you don't have to make the muffin mess everyday! (The recipe says it can stay in the fridge for up to 4 weeks!)

Here is the recipe:
1 CUP WATER BOILED
3 CUPS BRAN (I USED BRAN CEREAL)
1/2 CUP BUTTER (I USED APPLESAUCE)
1 CUP SUGAR
2 EGGS
2 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
2 TSP SODA
2 CUPS BUTTERMILK OR SOUR MILK
Put the bran in a bowl and then pour the boiling water on top of it. Mix them up and then add the rest of the ingredients and mix. Put it in the refrigerator or make a muffin! I use a 8 oz cup and fill it half full (it grows). Put it in the microwave for 1-1:30 minutes. (I usually do 1:15 - it depends on how much you use). When it comes out you can either dump it out or eat it with a fork. Put jam or butter on it. ENJOY!
ONLY 2 MORE POST AND I AM ON #100!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUSTY!

HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY TO DUSTY!
Dusty turned 30 years old today. I can't believe it - we are getting old! Dusty and I started "going out" 14 years ago. It all started when I CALLED HIM on his 16th birthday from Cedar City at a pay phone. Well it actually all started when someone shoved him into me at a basketball game and then next was the phone call. And now here we are 14 years later celebrating his 30th birthday - who would have ever known :). The boys and I got him a DeWalt tool set to do MANY improvements, shed building, greenhouses, and much more around the house. I hope he uses it often!
