Humber River

Humber River (near Bolton, Ontario)

The Humber River begins at the Niagara Escarpment in Mono, Dufferin County and ends at Humber Bay on Lake Ontario in Toronto, Ontario.

It was first used by indigenous people at least 12,000 years ago and French explorer Etienne Brule recorded seeing it in 1615.

It was designated a Canadian Heritage River in 1999.   It is 126 km. (78 mi.) long.

The Humber River merges with the East Humber River in Woodbridge, within the City of Vaughan, in southern York Region.

The East Humber River originates on the south side of the Oak Ridges Moraine between Richmond Hill and Aurora, and flows through southern King Township. between turning south into Vaughan

The groundcover on the rooftop terrace above the Delmanor Retirement Residence main dining room  in south Aurora has turned from green into fall colours.   The attractive scene can been viewed from many of the Delmanor apartments and balconies.

"Yesterday once more! - atTheatre Aurora...

Theatre Aurora began its 2025-2927 season on September 20th with 'Yesterday once more', a musical retrospective of the greatest popular musical hits of the 60s and 70s, conceived by Theatre Aurora alumni Judi Cragg and Neil Kernohan.

I was in a full-house audience with my partner Pat Cromie on opening night and we were both thrilled by the big cast of 14 singers and dancers presenting 45 musical numbers spread over two acts.

I being going to Theatre Aurora productions ever since the company started and Friday night's show was one of the most enjoyable nights I have ever spent in the local theatre.

The audience applauded and hooted and hollered after every one of the evenings offerings.

Well done to Judi Cragg and Neill Kernohan who produced the show and the terrific singing and dancing cast.
