Sneak Peak

On Thanksgiving day, we went to the beach to take some pictures. Mimi was kind enough to take some for us! It was a BEAUTIFUL day at the beach! These are some of the pictures I took. Just a teaser before the real pictures are up! Thanks Mimi! They turned out so great!

Honor Roll

Congratulations to Sydney for making honor roll this semester! At our school, 5's equal A's and 4's equal B's. However you have to have a 92% to get a 5. Sydney had all 5's and 1 4. Great job Sydney!

Thanksgiving in Kindergarten

This is our fourth Thanksgiving celebration in kindergarten! Matthew was a pilgrim. He got to sail across the Atlantic in the Mayflower, and meet and Native Americans, who taught them how to plant corn! Then, they got to celebrate with a "feast" from KFC. (Gone are the days when parents got to bring in real mashed potatoes, turkey, stuffing and rolls!)

Soccer Wrap Up

Matthew had his end of the year soccer party at Shakeys. He was so excited to get his trophy! Can't wait until spring soccer starts!

Halloween week

Wednesday October 28th--took Lauren and some of her friends to the corn maze across the street from us. It was HUGE and we got VERY lost at one point! But it was fun! I'm not sure if they liked the maze the best, or the huge pit of corn to play in!

Thursday October 29th-- went to the 2nd grade play called Ei-Ei-Ooops! Kaycee was a "cute chick". Great job Kaycee!Friday October 30th--Matthew's fall carnival at school. He got to paint a pattern, make a spider with Ritz Crackers, pretzels and raisins, make a Halloween trail mix, got a bat face paint, make a marble spider web, pinned the tail on the cat, made a popcorn hand, and a few other things! Later that day, we did crafts in Kaycee and Sydney's rooms too. Made a cheese finger, decorated a jack-o- lantern and made a mummy pencil holder! Immediately after school, Matthew and Kaycee went to a Halloween party, and Lauren had TWO parties back to back!

Saturday October 31st--The big day! Started the day with a soccer game, and a visit from Grandpa. Then we got ready for the night. Lauren was a crazy ballerina, Sydney a zombie, Kaycee Hannah Montana and Matthew a ninja. We went all around the neighborhood with the hundreds of other kids on our street! We had three really good haunted houses on our street complete with spaghetti brains, a remote control rat, a chain saw, thriller projected on a huge screen, and scary guys lying around waiting to jump up at you! What a fun and busy Halloween week!

Trunk or Treat

So this is how it happened. Our church has a trunk or treat party every year. Our kids were so excited they told their friends, who then told their friends, who told their friends. Our cousins were staying with us, and of course they came too! That's how we came to bring 11 kids to it! Thankfully my neighbor came to watch half of them! It was a fun night.

Teddy Bear Weekend

Matthew's kindergarten class has a traveling teddy bear. The kids take turns taking him home, and then they write about their time with Teddy. Matthew got it this weekend. Teddy got to go to Matthew's soccer game, play with cousins, meet Shamu (Matthew's cousin's stuffed animal!) and go to Trunk or Treat at church!
