Because of Him

Because of him....

I get to be a mommy to my best little girlfriend + I get to be a mommy to another sweet baby girl,

I get to be a wife to the most incredible boy in the world,

I get to be with my family F O R E V E R,

I get to have the knowledge of our gospel,

I get to know our Savior through prayer,

I get to feel like a daughter of worth,

I get to repent of my sins + feel clean again.

Instagram has it's moments.

Easter Sunday it sure had a great one.

Almost every post I looked at had #becauseofhim reasons.

I absolutely enjoyed it.

It really brought the true meaning of Easter into my heart.

I made goals to be a better wife, mommy, & daughter to our Heavenly Father.

Since Blake & I had already celebrated Easter with London,

Easter Sunday was super low key.

London of course got an Easter dress & a few other trinkets.

But, we did church, nap, then we stopped at Blake's parents for a bit, 

& then headed over to my folk's for the rest of the evening.

I love hanging out with my family SO much.

They mean the world to me + I always am so happy when I'm around them.

Happy Easter

Officially...unofficially Easter.

 The Easter Bunny has an agreement with mommies & daddies.

If daddies are going to be gone on the actual Easter...

the Easter bunny is allowed to come early!

We did the whole shebang.

London had been practicing her bunny hopping & nose wiggling in honor of this day.

We woke her up with an Easter egg hunt for her basket.

Then, we all ate candy for breakfast.  Easily, the best thing we did all day.  

The rest of the morning + after nap time, 

we played with her new play dough, painted, read, & played with all her new treasuries.

10 high fives to our family + friends who played along on our Easter extravaganza.

Later that night, we had some of our good friends + Blake's parents over for an Easter Egg hunt.

Isn't watching little kids hunt for eggs the cutest?

Seriously, I was dying of laughter & adorableness.  

After the egg hunt.......THE ULTIMATE EASTER SMORE.

Roasted peeps for the marshmallows, Reeses Egg's for the chocolate...

all smashed in a graham cracker.  YUM, YUM, YUMMY.  Easter candy is by far the greatest.

 

This was our last night hanging out as a family until I meet my Blakester in Texas in a couple weeks.

We had a blast & are incredibly glad we got to celebrate Easter festivities with daddio.

Hopefully, London won't think the Easter bunny comes every week...cough cough.

But, we've got an Easter dress + a few other trinkets for Easter morning.

Oh darling, Let's be adventurers

 Blake has been gone for 3 days now.

I almost wish goodbye's didn't exist, cuz, we  both cried like babies at our final goodbye.

You'd think it would get easier.

I mean, we have been doing this summer thing for 8 years now.

 But, no, it remains SO TOUGH to say goodbye.

Every year, it seems I am either coming out late, or coming home early due to random circumstances.

3 more weeks of this alone business is for the DOGS.

Even though it's the pits, it still beats living in a hotel...

I WON'T do that again this summer.

Apartments await us/me in May & I'll see my love again then.

The week that Blake left, we wanted it to be special.

So, jampacking our schedule with all our favorite things deemed to be necessary.

So, enjoy a quick lowdown of our week last week.

Saturday & Sunday:  Conference.  Clearly, London was thrilled that she got the chips off the counter.

Monday: We had Blake's high school buddies + some of their wives over for burgers & final 2 game.

Tuesday:  We went to SLC for shopping & dinner...followed by the Jazz game with Jeff & Dani.

Wednesday:  Blake woke up with pink eye.  I went to an orthodontist apt.  We hiked up to the windcaves.  London learned how to pee like Dot (aka wilderness peeing).  Blake went to the doctor.

Thursday:  Blake & I went to the temple & did a session.  Apple spice to go on our way home.

Friday:  We pretended like it was Easter.  This day will get its own post entirely...but, we did the whole shebang.  The Easter bunny totally makes exceptions & deals when it means daddio will be out of town on the actual Easter.

Saturday:  Breakfast with my two main squeezes, & then goodbye.

Thankfully, I have stayed really busy since Saturday, & it hasn't been all that bad.

I am thankful for Blake's job & all the opportunities it gives us.

I can't wait to see my boy in a few weeks.

Next up:  Our official unofficial Easter.

Miss or Mister?

Brother or Sister?

If ya know me, you know that I LOVE parties...especially themed ones.

So, with Blake & I leaving soon (Blake even more soon), 

& us finding out the gender of baby Allen #2,

we thought.....why not throw a gender reveal party!!

Yes, yes, yes.

We found out the gender on Wednesday & the party was on Friday.

Everybody kept asking me if it was hard keeping the secret in for 2 days,

NO WAY, I thought it was a blast that Blake & I knew & no one else did.

My dad may have threatened me multiple times about telling him.

Nope, no way, I wasn't going to budge until the actual reveal.

So, without further adeau.....

 We had everyone make their guesses....

Girl: bow in the hair.

Boy: Bowtie.

Of course, Blake & I already knew, 

but, I wanted a picture of what we both thought it was before we found out.

 And, it's a......

 GIRL!!!!!!

We are seriously SO thrilled for another little girl.

I can't wait to snuggle a new bundle.

And, I can't wait especially, to see London with her new little sister.

We are 95% sure on the name....but, won't say until it's set.

My heart is full & I feel incredibly blessed to get to raise another sweet baby girl.
