Good stuff

Logan says the funniest things sometimes and so does Kenzi.  I need them recorded so I always remember them.

Sometimes when the lights come on in the morning or if we turn the TV just after getting up for the day Logan says, "no turn it off, it's yelling at my eyes"

Today Logan had his Valentine Party at Preschool he was so excited to give out his Cars Valentines and pencils.  He was also excited to give Ms. Michelle a small box of chocolates.  Well with the chaos of every morning we forgot to grab the box of chocolates.  I didn't even realize it, but Logan had a mission when he got done with Preschool, we needed to go get those chocolates and bring them back.  We did and he would not let me come to the door with him to give them to Ms. Michelle.  I was starting to walk up to the door with him and he said "no, go back in the car."  He loves preschool and Ms. Michelle.  I love watching him run in and run out of Ms. Michelle's house with his big backpack bouncing up and down.  He is always so excited to show me the papers he did that day.
After his Valentines party he had a large bag with treats from all the other classmates in it and a separate little bag with treats in it from Ms. Michelle.  When he got in the car he pulled both of them out and gave the small one to Kenz, he said that one was for her:)

Also, today Logan keeps saying he is tired or sick because his feet aren't big.  Asking me to make them big ??? not sure where that came from:)  Then while I was in the shower this morning I didn't even hear the kids come in all I heard was Logan say, "you don't have that thing to pee with"  I looked out to find Kenz stark naked (crazy girl, I had seriously been in the shower for 3 minutes) with Logan breaking the news to her that she could go pee because she didn't have that thing:)  hehehe.

Kenz is seriously a little chatter box when she gets going.  She calls Logan "Wogan" and says it over and over trying to talk with him or get his attention, it hilarious.  The other day she said to Brett "RARRR, I scared you!"

Yesterday she tripped on the pavement and scrapped her knee a little, she keeps saying "ow-wee" "kiss it."   She cries for Brett a lot now that he works full time.  She want me too, she just likes us all to be together.  Throughout the day she says "Daddy at work?"  Just checking just in case it has changed.  :)

Love those two.

Busy/ Sick Week

What a week!  Well over a week of sickness in this house.  Last week poor Logan got so so sick really fast.  He had a bad fever and was miserable.  Of course by the time I realized he probably had influenza it was 8 pm so we had to go to an Urgent Care.  They got us right in and sure enough he had the flu even though he had a flu shot a few months ago!  They gave him some Tamiflu and he was better a few days later.  We were all feeling lucky we didn't get it but then Kenz started coughing so I figured it was the flu as well and called and had the Urgent Care call some Tamiflu in for her.  Well that stuff is nasty and bitter and we had the hardest time getting Kenzi to take it.  She started acting better so we just gave up and figured she had fought it off on her own.  Monday came and she still had a runny nose and cough but I just thought it was a cold.  Tuesday she was miserable so we dropped Logan off at preschool and headed to the doctors.  Sure enough she had a secondary infection on top of the influenza, a ear infections and the beginnings of pneumonia:(  Poor little lady.  They started her on some heavy duty antibiotics and albuterol in the neutralizer to help with her cough.  Just 24 hours later she was doing so much better!

In the middle of all the sickness the kids got new bunk beds!!  (Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Hanson:) ) They love them and the transition was so easy.  No trouble as of yet!

On Wednesday Logan had his 4 year check up.  He weighed 37 lb and was 41 in.  (60-65%)  Big boy:)  He had to have two shots.  He knew that after his shots he would get a few suckers and that was enough for him, he didn't even cry and just kept his eye on the prize!  So proud he was so brave.

Also, Brett started with EIRMC on Monday and has loved it so far.   He says it gets better and better everyday and is exceeding his expectations.  So wonderful!  He finally has a set schedule and works from about 8-4:30, I love knowing he will be home at night!

And finally we planned a getaway in Florida just Brett and I in just over a month.  Brett is being sent there for a convention for EIRMC so I am tagging along!  The kids will stay with Shannon for 4 full days, I don't know if it will be harder on me or the kids...prob me, but I am so excited to just spend time with Brett and the Florida sun and pool at the hotel...but mostly Brett:)

Here's to more adventures in the coming months!  I can't wait!
