Tooele??

This past week Brett was working in Salt Lake so the kids and I went to the great city of Tooele, Utah to spend the week with my sister Shannon. It was a ton of fun. Logan played hard everyday and slept so well every night, so did Kenzi:) Logan keeps asking to go back, but says it far away.

Wednesday afternoon we went to Temple Square. I love it there. I have not been in a few years and it was great to go back. I use to live just a few blocks from Temple Square and was there so much I completely took it for granted. It is such a special place.

Logan loved all the water. He said 'oh temple' right when we got there, so cute.

We took the kids to the hands on children's exhibit in the Church History Museum. It was really fun and the kids loved it!

I said to Logan, lets feed the missionaries, so he got the fork and reached up to the pictures on the wall to -Feed the missionaries, literally. I guess that is what I said:)

After we picked up Brett and ate at In and Out. Logan fell in love with the chocolate milkshake we were sharing and before we knew it had drank the entire thing. Well you can imagine what happened next....too much dairy in Logan's tiny little body = excessive vomiting 10 minutes away from Shannon's house! It was quite the scene. I was so scared it was going to create a chain reaction with Shannon's kids but thank heavens they have some strong stomachs:)

All in all the week was great. We shopped (I found the cutest jacket and boots for Kenzi) ate good food and stayed up too late. Thanks Shan for letting us stay with you all week.....we will probably do it again ...soon:)

Devrey's Bridal Shower

Devrey was here last weekend to go through the Temple so we decided to have a Bridal Shower while she was here.

We had to do the gum game with the questions! Ha! Danielle did a pretty good job of making sure she had a load of gum in her mouth;)

We had a pretty good turn out and Devrey got some great gifts! Only one more week until the Wedding:)

Harvest Time!

Check out my little farmer harvesting his corn, so cute:)

It is hard to believe summer has come and gone. The days of cold mornings, cool evenings and the need for the heat in the car in the mornings and the A/C in the afternoons have arrived. I absolutely love this time of year from now until January!

We harvested our little garden over the weekend...it took about 10 minutes we got some corn and two small onions:) It was a good year. We are still learning how to garden, but it gets a little better every year.

***
Kenzi LOVES her bath. She gets so excited when you start getting her ready for the bath. I love it. Tonight she was a little more excited than usually because she was really tired and ready for bed. She is just a little cutie!

Tater Tot Trot and Spud Day

Can I just say how much I love Spud Day! It is just a fun day to kick off a great time of year:)

Friday afternoon Logan did the tater tot trot with Tysen and Kirra! They had a ton of fun.

Logan's race was the very last one so he was a little anxious to get going, also he was completely distracted by the chocolate milk that was given when you finish the race. The chocolate milk was the only thing that kept him going 3/4 around the track.

Dad helped

Saturday morning started very early with a 10k run. Disclaimer: The following pictures were taken around 6:55 am just minutes after crawling out of bed, no make up, don't judge.)

Still dark outside. My sister Tiffany did the 5k and my bro-in-law Kory did the 10k too.

Getting ready to start, it was a little cold, so I am doing a little dance!

Headed for the finish line! Kory finished in 58 minutes, I finished in 1 hr 5 minutes.

~Parade~

Poor Kenzi kind of had a rough day, she was not a fan of the wind:(

Free baked potato!

Logan, being a brave little boy on all the blow up slides, he was in heaven.

Giant snow cone!

Dad and mom helped eat

And more slides

Best part of Spud Day this year... the ping pong drop during the parade! It brought back so many memories from when I was little and my dad would do the ping pong drop with his plane on Spud Day! It was awesome:)

Oh Logan!

Logan is growing up so fast all of a sudden. It seems like a switch was flipped when Kenzi was born. He just turned into such a big boy! His speech and vocab has improved so much since his surgery, I love hearing him talk and put words together. Just recently, last Saturday, Logan decided he didn't was to wear a diaper. So we put his big boy underwear on and he didn't have an accident all day, we even when to Idaho Falls and he did great! Sunday was a little tough, but he did pretty good. He really has only had three pee accident since Saturday, but number two is a different story. I can't get him to go on the potty, he holds it all day until finally he just has to go in his underwear. I know he will get the hang of it soon though. I just didn't even expect him to potty train so fast. I thought it was going to be so hard and frustrating, but it really helps when you wait until they are ready. Anyway, Logan has said some funny things lately so I wanted them in my blog to always remember.

Logan's Funnies

We are at the park and I say lets go, Logan says, "no, I stay here"

"I go school"

"I go running"

"Go to the Gas Station and get a Candy bar"

Says "a boo" while jumping to Kenzi to make her laugh

"Grasshopper"

"Watch I jump"

"No not today"

"Oh! Football game!" "BYU!"

"Otay!"

"Hi sister"

"I dooped in my choo choo underwear"

"Oh yeah"

Rolling Over!

Kenzington has mastered rolling over, seriously overnight. I didn't really have to practice it with her she just did it! It was funny, Saturday morning I went to get her out of her crib and she was on her tummy! From then on she flips over on her tummy anytime she in on the floor or in her crib, problem is she hasn't figured out how to get back on her back!

She is pretty proud of herself.
