Sophia's actual birthday was not very spectacular. I was sick but I think the girls loved it because they got to watch a little extra TV while I laid on the couch. I did get up early and put up two streamers and a few balloons. It was the best I could do. Braden took this picture as he left for work. Luckily, we had some cupcakes left over from when we made them for her birthday at preschool the day before. And, I had enough energy to open presents with her that night.
Sophia had a family party another day or two later and then her friend party that Saturday. I don't think I want to do three days of birthday celebrating next year. That was a lot of work.
Sophia's friend party was a lion party. Her friend, Owen, had just had a tiger party she thought was really cool. We stuck to the theme in a very loose way and had an animal show come from BYU. They brought 3 live animals (turtle, tarantula, and snake) and some taxidermied animals (polar bear head, skunk). The kids loved it even though I thought it went a little long. The best part was it was easy for me! We had other games, lunch, cupcakes, and presents.

Sophia got some dress up stuff and pretend make up from Owen. The girls have both loved playing with those things a lot.
And, a video of multiple days of celebration!
