No Tricks...Just Treats at Scare on the Square this Friday!

Make sure you come up to McKinney Downtown for Scare on the Square THIS FRIDAY! 

We always costume up and join tons of other McKinney folks for this safe and secure family event.  As a mama who isn't a big fan of scary Halloween, this is the perfect venue.

 Lots of candy and lots of people watching.

Mustard in the Window

Moved some things around recently.  Put this mustard colored buffet in the window.

 I'm a big fan of this little piece.  It adds the perfect pop of color to any small space.  We think it looks rather welcoming for fall. 

Hello October

 Yay for October!  Lots of fun to come this month.  Booth 58 is full of new fall items. 

 Hurry in before Christmas takes over!

Pumpkin Everything

It's that time of year... when everything seems to be pumpkin flavored....pumpkin spiced this and pumpkin spiced that...

We are working real hard to figure out how to make pumpkin spiced B58 banners... We'll let you know when they hit the market... (wink.wink.)

Oktoberfest is this weekend in Downtown McKinney.  Make plans to come up Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.  SO much to do and see.  Have a braut... stroll the streets... and don't forget to stop by the ACM to see Booth 58 all decked out with pumpkin everything.

We tried.

We tried real hard to not mix our Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas displays.

 No orange and red and green ....

Orange got moved to the front window... Just in time for Scare on the Square on Halloween.  
(side note: Make plans to come up to McKinney that afternoon.... fun times!)

Thanksgiving got moved behind the window.... Just in time for shoppers thinking about their dinner table décor.

And, Christmas made its debut in our back section .... Just in time for what will soon hit the retail world ... "the holidays"  or what we like to call "crazy."

No orange and red and green has been intentionally mixed. We know things get moved around ...kind folks try to help out.  So we fully expect to find a big ol' orange pumpkin sitting under our red and green Christmas tree any day now... But until then, we tried.

Pile on the Pumpkins

We have changed up the booth several times since I last posted.... including a window redo. 

I just realized my house is still decorated with seashells.... Oops!  I need to start piling up the pumpkins here at home ... It's fall yall!

Set the Mood for Fall

How can you set the mood for fall in your home this season?

How about an understated rustic charm...

full of natural elements, some "found" objects, and

maybe a piece of "whimsy" tucked in here and there?

See our natural element in the sap bucket?  Sticks from your backyard work great!

Here is one of our latest found objects....an old rusty wheelbarrow... Wouldn't it be perfect full of pumpkins and mums in your front yard this season?

And one of our personal B58 favorites... the whimsy!    This year we have added a few owls, foxes, brooms, and black pots. 

 

Now, go get started setting that fall mood!

Signs of Fall

Tomorrow is the first "official day" of autumn....

Cooler temps, warmer drinks, light sweaters, half times, family times,

and of course decorating times!

Make sure you make plans to join us on Scare on the Square this Thursday for Halloween!  Dust off those trick-or-treat buckets and head on up....

We have our "Happy Candy Day" window display ready for the big night.  Complete with a Halloween Treat Tree... Come see it!

This Monday, we are thinkin' about Candy Day!!!!

What are you doing this Halloween?  Our family's annual tradition will continue with Scare on the Square in Downtown McKinney... always a great afternoon of people watching and candy collecting!

 Then we will head back home for some trick-or-treatin' with the rest of our neighborhood buddies. 

 And we will close the night out by pillaging through the ol' pile of treats!   There is nothing like the Post-Halloween loot counting....

Stop by Booth 58 to see the  "Happy Candy Day" corner....You might just want to pull up a chair and grab a handful of candy corn....  Let the sugar high begin!

Now that we are in full swing of October, I guess I should post some Booth 58 Happenings!  Sorry, loyal followers.... Blogging, once again took a "back seat" to life, as we have been busy with lots of fall fun.  Fall is my absolute favorite!!! 

We've went on a big junkin' trip since I last posted.... Make sure you stop by to see what new treasures have "fallen" into our hands!

Monday at the Mall

A little late with my "Monday at the Mall" post today.  The grocery store, laundry pile, and homework folders were calling louder than Blogger today. 

I did make some mental "Monday at the Mall" notes as I went about my Monday routine though....

Noticed lots of pumpkins popping up at the Kroger .... bought ingredients for my first batch of chumpkin bread (my sweet friend just filled me in on this new slang for "chocolate-chip/pumpkin bread!"  yum!!!).... and was also tempted to enjoy my first pumpkin spiced latte of the season!

Trick or Treat

At my house, everyone has picked out their Halloween costumes and already played in them enough to have numerous rips and tears already.... At least we are getting our money's worth! Our Ninja, Batman, and Mermaid are counting down the days until Candy Day!

Little Mr. 58 Batman can't figure out why we only trick-or-treat one night.... He thinks we should get this party started now!

Booth 58 is sporting some special "tricks" and "treats" already too. 

Don't want to miss out on the orange and black... because before you know it we will be seeing red and green!
