Hawk {Idaho Falls Idaho Nature Photographer}

Ummmm yeah!
This guy flew right along side of our moving vehicle.
I am so in love with this image. It reminded me of one of my favorite LDS conference talks.
I think he was showing off.

Guess who?

Sunset

Who doesn't love a beautiful sunset?
I have so many beautiful pictures of the sun setting against all the lovely countryside that surrounds me!
Here are just 2 favorites.

I love where I live!

Sunset { Eastern Idaho Nature Photographer }

I love those moments that I see an image so worth capturing that I have to hurry and grab my camera and do my best to steady my hand against the moving car. Sometimes those moments are worth all the fuss of changing my lens as fast as I can.

This image feels so calming to me, like it could heal a wounded soul.
I had to show you an original, but also one with one of my favorite quotes.

Snake {Southern Utah and Eastern Idaho Nature Photographer}

I would like to say that I bounced right out of my vehicle, threw caution to the wind, and just got down and in this little..errrr...big creatures way to get a perfect shot. But as you can see, I stayed behind him. I wanted to get his face and tongue from the front view, but my fear got the best of me. My husband got bite by a rattlesnake when he was a teenager and had to have a skin graft on his finger done. Soooooo, let's just say the probability of getting bit and also discovery channel flashbacks of snakes jumping long distances kept me at a safe distance.
Now, looking at these, I kindof wish I would have thrown caution to the wind.
What's a little skin graft right?

Owls {Southern Utah Nature Photographer}

Oh. My. Heck.
EEEKKKKKKK.
I was so excited when I was able to capture these owls on camera.
I set myself goals as a photographer.
Usually my goals have to do with nature or animals.
And owls was on my list!
So as you can imagine I was excited and could barely keep quiet long enough to observe them.

White Clouds

I had the beautiful experience last year of hiking and biking all over some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen! The views were breathtaking. The hikes were gorgeous and worth every step!
Now I know why my husband continues to drive as far as he does, year after to year.
 I feel so blessed to have experienced it all with my husband and children!
It was my favorite vacation last year hands down.

More trees...

 You all know me and my love of trees.
I am finally getting around to my "tree" folder to see what I have found over the last year!
I am loving this one!

Bird Watching {Cedar City Utah Nature Photographer}

The kids and I went bird watching awhile back and we saw lots of beautiful birds!
They loved filling me in with all the "facts" they have been learning about birds.
And I loved every second and there excitement as we captured some.

Morning Dew {Cedar City Utah Nature Photographer}

I love the way the dew drops look in the mornings. The way they seem magically frozen in place.
It is beautiful to me!
(All of these images were captured at Yankee Meadows in Southern Utah.)
