Before they can be men... they must be BOYS!

So once again we went for family pictures, this time with the Choate family. So, here are the updated photos...

I realize that it has been a while since I have added anything new, but the main idea behind me starting this BLOG THING was so that I didn't have to scrapbook my life or write in a journal. I was just simply going to print off the pages. Sounds easy right... well not when you get 6 months into it and haven't printed anything. So I thought, I am not going to get into the Holidays and have to go back and print off all of that stuff too!
In the meantime I am looking around at blogs and starting to get worried, don't you people know that this is how I see what's happening in your lives without actually having to be social! HELLO! If you are all private, this is going to be really hard to keep track of you! Okay, so now the real question, I have 3 boys, do I really need more privates in my life? :) (A.K.A. why should I go private? Be honest, give me the low down, I don't have time for your ramblings, but if you can give it to me Short & Sweet I'd love to hear your thoughts!)

Yesterday was almost like Christmas for Corbin. He woke up, ran to the window and then got so excited he could hardly stand it. "SNOW DAY!" After church, we got the boys all bundle up in their coats (except Corbin, because if Travis doesn't need a coat then he doesn't either).


The boys weren't sure what to think of the snow at first, but eventually they started walking around and even leaning down to join in the snowball fight that Travis and Corbin were having.

The best part was that Corbin finally learned what a White Wash was. (I don;t think it was quite what he was expecting.)

A couple of weeks ago we had scheduled to take family pictures, and of course because we had that planned it decided to rain. Luckily, we found some shelter by some nearby trees and the pictures didn't end up too bad. (Thanks to photoshop, a definate must when you have two babies that you have to get laughing and looking at the camera at the same time, impossible!)

Anyways, here are just a few of the shots... (No worries, Choate family pictures will be coming soon as well, it seems when it's time for new pictures, everyone signs us up.)

Well Last night us Bodily's scored big! (As in we won 3 KING SIZE Candy bars...that's right folks, it doesn't get much better than that!) Last night for Family night we had our annual Nicholas Family Oktoberfest! It is a good time all the way around. My Grandma is so great to keep the tradition running, it is definately one of my favorites! We sing songs, do the chicken dance, & polka (oh, and let's not forget watching my aunts doing the macerena...that's right I said it THE MACERENA!...good times) and have an ice cream eating and root beer drinking contest. Last night Corbin started us off with a quick win at the root beer drinking contest and then Travis and I followed up to win in our "heats" as well. OH YEAH!!! That's right, no one can guzzle the Root Beer like us Bodily's!

Yesterday was our primary program and Corbin has been practicing for a long time. He had to do his entire talk in front of the entire congregation AND he was the first one to go up! I was so nervous for him I thought I was going to puke! (of course, he didn't even bat an eye) He did a great job!! He remembered every word and he even kept his hands off of the microphone! Here is a little preview that I recorded at my house so I could remember it...


Maybe next week I will put something up about Travis's big day! He will officially be the "Chair Coordinator" for our building (Yeah, that was pretty much my reaction too.) I'll take a preview video of him putting up chairs around our house. :) Talk about Talent!

Today has been one heck of a day for our boys! When I got to our babysitters house the first thing she said was, "is this one the more aggresive of the two?" (pointing to cooper) and of course he is...but why? Oh, that would be because he left this great little mark on my other son, Keaton. Yes, that's right those are teeth marks. He bit his brother! (And it begins...)


Then, while I was getting dinner ready I start to hear screaming and walk around the bar to find keaton holding cooper by his ears (both of them) and pushing his head into the floor. (Good Times!) This is when the first time out occured. They both were put in their cribs for 5 minutes (really, more of a time out for mom then anything.)

And just when I thought things would start to get better because Travis was home to be the referee I hear a blood curteling scream by the front door. Oh, that's right Cooper had knocked the crap out of Keaton leaving him with this fabulous mark by his eye! And they are only one! Oh, that's right ONE! what I have to look forward to! "LET"S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!"

We have all been waiting for a very long time for my brother Tag and Thesha to finally have their baby, and like the awesome Aunt I am I do not have a picture! However, we are very excited for them. Tyler Evan choate was born Thursday night, and he is adorable! he has the best skin I have ever seen. After 7 long years of trying, Tag and Thesha are finally parents. CONGRATULATIONS!

For the last three years I have been starting school in August, but this year I was nervous for it...because Corbin starts! I can't believe it, my little boy is off to school. I was so sad that I couldn't drop him off on his first day, I was so excited for him! Then, when he got home I asked him how it was and all he could say was, "Sheesh, it was good already." (Like I had asked a thousand times or something.)Later he said he had a good time with his friends, but his teacher Miss Mary was mean to him because he couldn't climb across the furniture to go outside. (Imagine that, no climbing on the furniture...mom has been right all of these years, who would have guessed.)

I think what he was the most excited about was finally being able to use his Ninja Turtle bag. He went with me when we had to pick out the fabric to make the special bag for kiddie college, I thought he was going to be upset with no spiderman, but he loved the ninja turtles... and he has been talking about it for days! So I was excited for that to be over with too. Anyways, it is fun to watch him grow up.
This is an idea my cousin Dean gave me, take the picture from behind so you can see how the bags shrink as they get older...what a great idea!

Today is mine and travis's 8th anniversary...WHAT A RIDE... :) (so many things to say to that! but this is your moment to stop reading if you are an offended type) We have had a lot of fun, here are just a few of the things I love most about trav...
- Seeing him in a brand new outfit to go to an office party with me (this was before we were dating)
- hearing him for the first time quote half a movie because some lady cut us off in the car which sparked a memory of some random movie line that starts off "hey you stupid Bi#?!" ...he can still quote the whole thing, I am sure when he reads this I will hear it again!
- Watching him start to tear up across the alter; when some mother's day thing hits; when we have our first, second and third child...all the while I am sitting there thinking, "oh crap I have got to make myself cry now." He really is a softy.
- When we are sitting around playing with friends, family, whoever really (yeah, probably you too) and someone says something dumb and we both are thinking the same thing at the same time and nudge each other at the same time under the table.
-That he fills up my gas tank, even at 10:00pm when I have just remembered that the light has come on.
- When we wrestle (the clean kind) and he thinks he has me pinned and then all I have to do is free up a hand to even try to tickle him and he just starts laughing.
-That he likes a Coke slurpee as much as I do! no matter what the circumstance.
- Most of all I love to watch him play with our kids, he is the best dad I have ever seen, he is so involved and they love being with him. Everytime i talk to other women about all of the things he does for our family they are always amazed, but that is because he is amazing. this is one of my very favorite videos...I hope you enjoy it like I do whenever I see it!

Well, we figured out today that the uncoordination that both Travis and I posses has truly skipped a generation! Corbin had his first soccer game and, if Travis must say, he was pretty dang good. (I was at back to school night so I missed the whole thing!) Corbin was all over the ball and took it up to the net 3 seperate times. Travis said he couldn't believe how he dribbled it up the field and how he could turn the ball. (I guess we may turn into a soccer family after all!

...All I know is he looks pretty dang cute in that uniform!

Okay, So let me start by saying I love the neighborhood I live in. It is great we have so much fun with everyone that lives around us. If we ever talk about moving, okay if I ever bring it up TRavis just rolls his eyes (we aren't moving anywhere, anytime soon) ANYWAYS... if it ever comes up I always say the only way I would go is if my whole neighborhood could just relocate. (And there are plenty of builders and real eestate people around that if any neighborhood could do it it would be ours. We have so much fun together. The other night there were about 25 of us women that all went to dinner and a movie just for fun (You would have thought it was relief society!) But while we were there I had about 10 people that I didn't even know had a blog tell me they had seen my blog, so tonight I have gone on the blogging treasure hunt to see just what all of them are up to! (Take notice...I think my Blogging community has doubled) But beware all of you Jupiter Hillians I now have links to all of you and will be checking beack frequently!

Okay this post is for Haley; she has been one of my very best friends since I was in Elementary school, but of course after high school you loose touch! Anyways, we have just recently started keeping in touch again, thanks to the blogging world! HOWEVER, she switched her blog to private, and now I can't keep in touch! Last night we had the boys birthday party...it was a fun circus party, and thanks to Bridgette Judd we stayed cool! She let us borrow her awesome tent that fit in perfectly with the theme of the party. We also had FIFI the clown come and put on a show for all of the kids, she was a huge hit!

Then we let the boys CONSUME their Birthday cakes! They loved every minute of it. (Even Corbin got away with some of the goods.) Anyways, it was a great time for everyone, but we are glad it's over. (It was pretty exhausting)

I can't believe that Travis and I have survived our first year of twins! I still remember that third week of having them home with us! WHAT A NIGHTMARE! I remember after a long night of almost no sleep Travis and I both left for work in the morning and the last thing we said to each other was, "Something needs to change with these kids or we'll never make it!" ...AND HERE WE ARE! This friday they will be one! We are pretty excited, we are having a "circus" theme party since that is pretty much what our life has been for the last year.

They really have been great kids... here are just a few of my fun memories with them...

Here they are right after I had them...can you believe all of that was in my stomach...it was hard for me to believe too. In order to tell them a part at first (and even now for my Grandma Nick) we always dressed Cooper in blue.


Do I need to even say anything about this! Story time at night is one of my favorite...especially when everyone is getting along!


When they were first learning to pick their heads up Keaton was so lazy that he would just sit there with his face mashed into the carpet, never crying, just not willing to exert the energy that it might take to actually look up!

This last week we spent at one of our very favorite places, Sun Valley Idaho. This is where Travis's family has vacationed ever since he was little, and it was our first vacation together after we were engaged. AND although it is very different now that we have kids it is still a lot of fun! Some of our favorite things to do there are go swimming, shopping (at least for me) and of course...SIT AT THE DUCK POND!






Travis and Corbin also went fishing this year, so that made for some cute pictures too.

To go along with the quote of the week...

The fourth of July is always very eventful for our family...parade, park, Family BBQ, Friends BBQ and fireworks! Lots to do. I thought I was going to be this great mom, take my camera and get lots of pictures of my boys ... so I did, and I was doing pretty good. Then, at the end of the night I went to look through all of the pictures only to realize that all of the except the ones I took at the fireworks had been deleted! Ohhhh, I was not happy! Luckily I have kind of a techy hisband that came home and recovered most of them (unfortunately for him he did not get the one of Corbin in the firetruck with his grandpa! He ran about a mile down the road trying to get a good picture!) anyways these are my favorites (at least that we have)of the night, the rest are in the slideshow underneath...here are all my BOYS!

We started our 4th of July Holiday a little early this year when we had our annual neighborhood BBQ last night. It, like always, is a lot of fun. The kids all play in the circle while all of us parents get to have a chance to socialize a little more. At night all of the kids watch fireworks. We were out until about 11:30, but Corbin was still eager to play! We have a great neighborhood, everyone is a lot of fun! Another thing that happened is that Corbin started riding his bike without his training wheels. One of the little neighbor girls had hers off and the next thing we noticed he was riding her bike. So, we took off his training wheels and wouldn't you know it, he didn't need them afterall! I was amazed...he just hopped on his bike and started riding it like it was no big deal! Crazy Kid.
