(we go back in the day of Calendar Systems....ahhh sweet memories..)

......also I should add.....that I seriously have the hardest time picking out

pictures to put on the blog (It must be adult ADD)

especially when there is alot to choose from

thats why I love my job :)

I am lovin this chair...... I took many more with this chair..

* Dressing a 3 year old*

So like most moms, I have one child who struggles to get

dressed in the morings..........This is how we start our day......

Delicious bowl of oatmeal....yes that seems very healthy until you hear I

put extra spinkles in it so he'll eat it.......I know... Mom of the Year!

By this time, Bailey has left for school and its about 9:00 am

We then watch some cartoons... I attempt at doing the dishes and

then I decide its probably time to get dressed for the day

10:00-10:30 am. So off we go to his room.......

He then jumps on his bed (which I encourage because by golly it
wears him out ;) and then we talk about why we have his name
above his bed..... Owen: "why do you put my name on the wall"
Me: "because I thought it would be nice" Owen: "well.....
thats because I'm pretty cool!" Me: "why yes you are"



Then he decides it would be a great time to "count his munnies"
"mom, I have sooo many munnies....we have to count them"


Me: "Owen its time to get some clothes on"
Owen: "but mom, my cars need to race or they won't wake up!!"

So we progress into the Shake n Go car crash races--





By now its almost lunch time.......
Owen: "mom, I need to do my computer games, I want
to do the circle one !(PBS Kids)" "Mom, I'm a bobble head genious!"
(I have no idea where that name came from!)

His navigational skills on the computer are quite
cool....... a sweet little computer dude in the making!


He then is bored and decides to run from me and hide on the couch

After lunch sometime we have progressed to just pants...

This is what a typical day of getting ready is all about...

and I wouldn't trade it for AnYtHiNg!!!!

(I've been called to the YW's and so craziness abounds,

but now New Beginnings is over, so perhaps I could start posting

more regular!!)

One of my New Years Resolutions

(besides eating only healthy foods! HA HA!)

So my sweet hubby b-day is today!!

He is 31!!!!

Where oh where does the time go :)

To celebrate this joyous day

we went to Sizzlers

yes...thats right...we hung out with

some elderly and got some great food!

(and hey... I'm not knocking the elderly

because one day I'll be at that age and

by golly I'm going to get my senior discount!!)

And if you ever go to Sizzlers

make sure to try the Teriyaki Steak

Its aWeSoMe!!!

Anywho, then we went and saw

Valkyrie...what an amazing and depressing story.

(Nick went on his Mission to Germany-

so that made it interesting to see it with him)

I have to thank the GRANT fam. for taking the kiddos!

We owe ya one!

Awwhhhh was he not the cutest little baby!!!

Ode to my hubby

No matter how old we get

Our time together has had its ups and downs

*New Years Eve*

It was seriously so much fun!!!

We started off christmas eve with our sewer backing up!

Oh what joy this is.......

nothing says Christmas like poo floating around!

Luckily our friend, who is also a contractor stopped by

to bring our gift , he contacted a plumber who came within the hour!

Hooray!!!

We then got ready to head out to the annual

-go out to eat with Nick's side of the fam-

We went to Chili's.....it was yummy!

(thanks John & Jean for the meal)

Then on to my fam's house for games and

of course more food!!!!

Our kids each open 1 gift

(yes, they are pj's)

my Grandpa plays some tunes on the banjo

(and skillfully adds my kids names to Christmas songs)

very fun evening!!!

Oh.. and Bailey lost one of her teeth..

(dave, dan & joni really tried to yank it out,

but it was Bailey in the end who pulled it out :)

Then back to our house and try to sleep.....

Christmas Morning....up at 7:30am...not to bad...

the kids are besides themselves excited!

Rush down to see their gifts....

me...trying to capture all happiness by filming and taking pictures

Santa brought a WII (which I think Nick plays more then the kids)

and lots of other random presents

********I got a Canon 50D********

(and you would think I'd show off some pictures....

but alas....I'm lazy!)

We then went to my parents for a

hearty brunch

(wow.....I can pack it away.... no wonder I've

gained so much weight !)

We all exchanged gifts

(we are the gift card family!)

my kids open lots more presents

*seriously...we are so blessed ...but I do believe

our house couldn't hold one more toy!)

Then we head off to Jean's

which includes more food and presents!

We had a spectacular Christmas
