It's been a long time...

Ok...First of all, I have some excuses for not posting anything lately.

1. I lost my camera battery charger and therefore could not take any new pictures.
2. Our lives have been somewhat (for lack of a better term) boring.

Second of all, I have some good news.

1. I found my camera's battery charger.
2. I GOT A JOB!

I just started at Van Gilder Insurance Corp. (vgic.com). I am currently the receptionist in their downtown Denver office, but I have been promised that within a year I should be able to move into the marcom department. (For those of you who dont know what that is it is Marketing and Communications) I have just been learning the business and figuring out who to transfer calls to and what not... and today I started branding which is just making documents that the employees use look spiffy with Van Gilder colors and formatting and stuff. Exciting huh!!! Maybe not, but I feel really lucky to have gotten a job with a really good company and room to advance! Here is a picture of my desk... I have business cards... :D

LOTOJA!!!!

Last weekend me and some of my lucky family members (Grama, Aunt Anna, Cousin Casadee, Hubby, Mother) had the privilege of watching my dad do the Lotoja. The Lotoja is a bike race that goes from LOgan, Utah TO JAckson, Wyoming. Get it? LOTOJA!? haha. 206 miles!!!!!!! Can you even believe it? He started at 6:00am and it took him about 11.5 hours to finish which is really good and a great improvement from the last time he did it. We were able to stop a few places along the way to "re-fuel" him so to speak. We had fun while we waited for him and then we would give him new water bottles and food so that he would have the energy to keep going. It was absolutely amazing to watch, and it made me so proud of my dad! He is so strong!!! We stayed the night in Jackson Hole which was really fun. They have a bunch of things made out of antlers there which we thought was really cool. Here are some pictures from the trip...

It does not look like he just rode his bike 206 miles!

Together Again...

Friday finally arrived. Joslin and Dusty came down to play (and have us take them to the airport)!!! It was so great. James woke me up by shaking me and saying "It's Joslin day! It's Joslin day!" We had fun! I've been missing by best friend like crazy. She cut my hair, as always... so nice of her. Then we went to Olive Garden for Lunch which was delicious. THEN we headed down to SLC to the Gateway mall. Of course we had a good time shopping, its one of our favorite past times, but the boys were not too thrilled to wander through Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters for too long so we got some ice cream and did some people watching and timed photography...(these are the photos that nobody walked through) Now they are enjoying their time in California...jealous...hopefully we will see them again on their way back up to Rexburg!

Camping!!!

Last weekend we went camping with the JT and Kali Meng! We had a blast. We got to go cliff diving and swim in Causey Dam all day, it is so beautiful up there. We stayed Friday and Saturday night. It was the first camping trip where I was in charge of bringing food and what not and I definately learned a few things... for example, ice in a cooler melts and becomes water and makes everything wet. Haha.

Anyway, we got a lot of great camping stuff for our wedding and were able to use it all! Our tent is absolutely amazing. It has 3 rooms and a real door and a patio and this cool net thing on the top inside that holds lights and stuff...AND a doggy door, it was nice. And with our air mattress and double wide sleeping bag we were able to sleep really well. :)

Hello Utah, Goodbye Tennessee

Since we got home from Tennessee we have been moving our stuff, searching for jobs, and doing as much fun stuff as we can before the summer ends and we have to start going to school and working... so we went hiking the other day and found this spring... it is pretty neat I think...

This is a cave we found and climbed into...

A couple days ago we drove up the canyon to find this amazing dam. We had to swim across so i couldn't take my camera, but we did a little cliff diving from the rocks you see on both sides of this photo (which are a lot bigger than they look from this view... like 50 feet I swear).

The last day we were in TN was James' birthday. We had a litte party with cake and fondue and games... it was so fun. I got to make some of the greatest friends while we were in TN. I am so glad James has cool friends that chose cool wives that I can be friends with. It is great.

This is our nephew Brennan. He is so cool, and very very cute. When we first got here he was very afraid of us and would cry if we looked at him.. but it only took him about a day to get used to us. We got to babysit the otherday and we went to the park. I think he liked it.

This photo matches up with the very top one, James and I went on a hike right up the mountain behind his mom's house... this was the view...and we didn't even go the whole way because I am a weakling.

During one of the huge thunder/lightning/rain storms we decided to go play in the rain. Luckily we didn't get struck by lightning, but we did get drenched!!! (Lindsey, Abbie, ME[i look like a boy])

This is me. In the background is Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Cool!?

We got to go boating in Tennessee with Apx. It was a ton of fun, James is doing an awesome wakeboard trick here and I am riding/falling off of the water weeney with some of the girls. Unfortunately, Megan and Branae smacked heads during one of our crashes and Megan had to get stitches on her eyebrow... SAD!
