Cute as Punkin' Pie!

we got the best halloween treat ever. the witches even flew in for a spell! we look forward to their visit every year. hopefully they keep those brooms in tip top shape so they can come back next year.

Oakley James Bethers

Well this is our little guy Oakley. He was 9 pounds and 6 ounces and 24 inches long. I don't think he wanted to pose for pictures to badly, but we managed to snap a few anyways. I got these when we was only a week old. He was so small then. Now he is two months and is growing like a weed! I guess you could say he takes after his dad!

Surviving Christmas

Well we survived Christmas. We ended up getting a 4 wheeler for the kids. Dakota won't ride it though because it is not yellow. So I guess we will be buying new plastics or a sticker kit for it. She is such a funny kid. When we got our jeep it had to be yellow so we had it painted to her liking. She loves that Jeep and has laid claim to it. I don't think I ever loved one color that much.

Oakley made it through his first Christmas without too much problem. He has been sick, so he managed to keep me up most of the night. Bless his little heart. He is the cutest little turd ever and I am not just saying that because I am his mom. I have had so much fun with him. It has been fun watching how James and Dakota interact with him as well. Needless to say he is a very loved child!

For fun this year we took Dakota to Pitt Hill with all of her cousins to go sledding. The first trip down the hill she got so sprayed with snow and then her and I wrecked. She didn't want to go again after that and settled for riding the 4 wheeler up and down the hill. The poor kid....I didn't think it would be that bad, but was I so wrong. Maybe next time we will take it a little easier.

Hello everybody!

Hey ya'll! Wow is it cold here. We just got back from Canada, where it was freezing cold, and I couldn't wait to get back to warmer weather......I guess I better go to the Bahamas for that because I am freezing my arse off here! Oakley isn't doing to well in it either. He is catching his first cold and his little cheeks are so red and chapped. I have finally found that bag balm works better than any lotion I have tried....so hopefully we get it under control before too long. I guess with the cold comes Christmas, which we are celebrating early this year for Dakota's sake. What a lucky little girl to have Santa visit her twice. I only wish I knew what Santa is going to get her....hopefully he clues me in before he shows up at our house tomorrow. What she really wants is a "real" yellow horse. She even asked me how it was going to fit in his sleigh. I guess we will just have to see how things turn out! Anyways Merry Christmas!
