A man's heart...

I combined this week's MOJO Sketch with today's Technique Lover's Challenge. I loved looking back through all of last year's challenges. I picked the lattice technique originally hosted by Joan Ervin. I love how this challenge turned out.

I do hate it when my charms want to hang all crooked when I'm trying to take a picture. dag-blasted! But, on a positive note, I used some new Verve!! Woot!

Thanks for looking...

BEE-CAUSE I LOVE TEA PARTIES!!!

I made this for today's Teapot Challenge: to bring daisies and bees. I was also inspired by the colors of the teapot - so awesome!

I used some patterned paper that my dear friend Naynay123 gave me. I used it for the background. I cut out the cute little bees from a Hambo image called Mushrooms and the sentiment is also from Hambo. I added some silver daisy charms.

My three little bees should be safe from that bee bully Tate as long as they stay close to this big yellow daisy.
I used this weeks Mojo sketch for the layout.
Thanks for looking!

Additional Info
Stamps: HAMBO: Mushrooms, Just Bee-cause
Paper: whisper white, basic black, ridinghood red, patterened paper
Ink: stazon
Accessories: markers, ribbon, silver charms, nestabilities, various punches

IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE CRABS!

So, after a long and wonderful holiday weekend, I wanted to stamp for fun! I looked at the challenges for the week, and not to be one who wants to miss ANY! I decided to combine a few.
Well, with all of the synchronized swimming at the tea party, I wanted to make a crab card. Let's face it, summer is here, I want to go to the beach, and I want to eat crabs.. and since I'm not at the beach - YET! I figured I could do the next best thing and bring some crabs to the tea party. The crabs could also serve double duty by encouraging Syd and her students to keep their bodies at the top of the water... so that card may yet be created, stay tuned.  If you have NO idea what I am talking about, see Cindy's post for this week's Teapot Tuesday here.  I'll bet you have never seen quite a teapot like the one she is sharing this week!
Since I combined the tea party with the color challenge, I couldn't figure out how to make red crabs work, so instead I used some of my newly purchased primas - thank you to my parents and students for the wonderful gift card to ACMoore - you know what I LOVE!
I also made this for the CAS challenge to scrunch and fold my ribbon and used this weeks MOJO sketch!
Thanks for looking... and keep a look out for the crabs - they may be arriving soon!

Paper: basic black, whisper white
Ink: stazon

MORE MOJOLICIOUS AND VLV CARDS...

I needed some birthday cards for work, so I decided to also catch up on on Verve Mojo Sketches.  Thanks for looking!

JUST BECAUSE..

I'm heading in the back door of the tea party and with the frustration of trying to load this card setting in, I would like to have some 'strong' tea! Not to mention some cookies and blueberry tarts!  After three attempts and some nasty 'can't read your file' messages, it's done, it's loaded.. whew!
This is for several challenges, as you can see listed in the keywords. I won't bore you with the details of each, suffice it to say I did bend quite a few color and technique lover rules. But, for the Mothermark I do have a hummingbird on my card..
Thanks for a fun challenge Cindy.. and I would love to participate in the destination station. Wonder who will load to the teapot gallery after me?? And who will be ahead of me!! Can't wait, I'm already stalking my mailman...
woot!

KEEPING IT SIMPLE...

Life has a way of helping me to focus on the things that are really important.  It has been busy and I needed some cards, so I made a slew of these simple cards and wanted to share them with you.. Hope you are inspired!  The first card is a case of a birthday card that my friend Michelle made for me. You can visit her blog HERE.  I just loved it and found the perfect designer paper for layering this way.. I will keep it blank until I need a card, then will stamp a greeting in the upper left corner as well as the inside.  Thanks for looking!

PRIMA MOJO...

My wonderful and super-talented friend Lori, made a card using only primas and gobs of paper the other night... I loved it so much, I decided to make one also using today's mojo sketch.
I made two of these for two special ladies who need encouragement and prayers. One had her house completely ruined by a fire, and the other just found out she has a brain tumor. My heart aches for both of these amazing women.

She knows I love blue and green, so this little challenge was to help me get out of my rut. I think it turned out beautiful. So, Happy Birthday Renee!! Hope you party all week long!
