Christmas Crafts

Let's Get Crafty

Every Christmas I decide to get crafty. I try to make some stuff. Either decorations for myself or a gift for someone else. This year it seemed I was constantly working on something so I decided to share them with you.

This I made for my good family friend for her birthday actually

I made this nativity set for my very good friend. She is actually afraid of bears.....but I figured these are cute bears ;)

ha ha ha----- I actually made these for Thanksgiving. For work~~~ 50 of them.

I made these for the ladies I work with. I filled them full of pancake batter......making............white snow.
SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST......right ;) okay my FAVORITE!!

My good friend's granddaughter wanted a pink guitar. Since she is only six. They decided on a Ukulele.......but they could not find a pink one so I painted a pink flower on it for her. I thought it turned out WAY cute. I don't know if you can see or not. It is covered in glitter.

Okay that is all I got........for now ;)

Annual Christmas Tree Hunting

We went and got our Christmas Tree Thanksgiving weekend like we do every year.
I was fun. We were there maybe ten secs and Rachel had hers cut and in the truck. Dad and Mom hiked all over the mountain to find the perfect tree......they came back with something a little less than perfect. Dad calls it the Danny Devito Tree----Short and Fat. They said when they saw this tree they both stood there and laughed at it for twenty minutes that Dad just had to bring it home. I have to say it doesn't look that bad in the living room ;)
Oh....and on the way home Dad shot a coyote.

YSA Summit in Salt Lake City Utah

BACK IN AUGUST......AUGUST 7th to be exact ;)

I had the opportunity to take our Young Single Adults to Salt Lake City for a big Conference weekend. I have never had soooo much fun and sooo much lack of sleep ;) There was 20 of us, Two vehicles. BOYS AND GIRLS
It was hosted at the University of Utah (Go UTES) and we had our personal tour guide Brandi Davis (such a sweetheart) Salt Lake invited our stake there to see how they run the summits.

The event started the Friday I came home from camp.....shower and jump back into the car.

When we got to SLC we went to a Polynesian bar-b-cue. Where they danced songs from all the islands. Some of the members were Utes football player ;) Then after dinner we got front row seats to two concerts-----Na Drua and Mana Poly All-stars. Both Groups were amazing!!

Then Saturday morning I ran in my first 5k run. It was a blast and I am sooooo glad for Good friends. I really need them on the last stretch and they cheered me all the way to the finish line.

Saturday (day) was jam packed with classes. All were amazing. But First I got meet Sgt. Jill Stevens/ Miss Utah. She is a powerful speaker, wonderful singer and just all around great girl. Val one of the girls from my group is her cousin so we really got to meet her ;)

Saturday Night was a dance and that sums it up we danced ;)

Sunday we had breakfast at President Johnson's house. ( A member of the seventy) Then Sunday night we were singing at the tabernacle choir and we got to meet Jane Clayson Johnson.

She said I was beautiful (hahaha) Singing in the tabernacle was amazing too. Jane was a great speaker I can't believe all the things she has done. She interviewed Mother Teresa and she said ( I love this quote) " I am a pencil in god's hands. He does the thinking, he does the writing, all I do is exist."

Then after the Jane's talk I drove the crew home. We joked about being the WYOMING CELEBRITIES.....every where went people wanted to take our picture and shake our hands. It was FUN!!

GiRl'S cAmP 2009

This year at Girl's Camp the theme was SURVIOR! This was the best year at Camp I ever had!
I was assigned to be over the 4th year girls and they were by far the best group of Girl's up there. All the other leaders were jealous. We had so much fun....our group name was "TURVIE" from the value Virtue. We decided to turn our camp spot into our own little Princess land. We even had our own dragon protecting us ;)
We spent the whole week there but my favorite day was the last day when we went on a nature walk (blind folded)and at the end of the walk was a BIG picture of Christ. We got to sit in the woods staring at Christ it was awesome. Then Stephanie and Ashley our Camp Directors talked about the importance of friends and making sure Christ is our friend.
When we pulled out on Friday our group flag was flying over the camp ground it was perfect.

LiTtLe BiG tOwN and JoSh TuRnEr in Concert

On July 25th my cousins and I went to Evanston Wy to a Little Big Town and Josh Turner Concert ( Trailer Choir opened for them). It was sooooo much fun!! Both bands were awesome. I got an autographed Cd from Little Big Town and touched Josh's finger. ;)
Here are some pictures from the night:

At the opening of Josh's concert he played this whole slide show of his day; like when he woke up where they traveled from. It was pretty cool!!!

Isn't he just a cutie!!! :D
