Charles Barkley Rookie Card


The Fleer 1986-87 is one of the greatest set that ever made because the set consists greatest rookie cards such as Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, Patrick Ewing, Akeem Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler and Dominique Wilkins. I have one rookie card in this set, Charles Barkley that have BGS 7.5 (SOLD). Beside of the rookie cards, the Fleer 1986-87 has a nice design on it's border colour.
The Player

He entered the 1984 NBA Draft as a junior and was taken by the 76ers with the fifth overall pick. Barkley joined a veteran-laden team with stars such as Julius Erving, Moses Malone and Maurice Cheeks -- players who took Philadelphia to the 1983 NBA championship. Yet, Barkley averaged 14.0 ppg and 8.6 rpg and earned a berth on the NBA All-Rookie Team.

Like the mythical bird for which the city is named, Barkley found new life in Phoenix. In his magical first season with the Suns, he won the NBA MVP while leading Phoenix to the league’s best record of 62-20 and a berth in the 1993 NBA Finals. The Suns lost to Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls in a memorable six-game series.

Although over the next two seasons Barkley struggled with nagging injuries, he maintained a high level of play. The Suns reached the conference semifinals in 1994 and 1995, but lost to the Houston Rockets, the eventual NBA champs. And after four seasons in the Valley of the Sun, Barkley's time had set in Phoenix and he was traded to the Rockets.

The trio of Olajuwon, Drexler and Barkley would play together one more season in 1997-98 -- but at diminishing returns. Barkley's production slipped to 15.2 ppg and 11.7 rpg and the team played to a mediocre 41-41 record. This rare constellation of superstars had a short two-year life span as, after losing in five games to Utah in the first-round, Drexler walked away into retirement.

One last gasp for that ring was breathed into Barkley when, before the 1998-99 season, the Rockets acquired Scottie Pippen, the owner of six rings earned with Chicago. Barkley played 42 games in the lockout-shortened season and the Rockets went out in the first round of the playoffs to the Los Angeles Lakers. The mixture of Barkley and Pippen proved to be oil and water. In the offseason, the two exchanged harsh words through the media and Pippen was dealt to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Barkley returned for his announced farewell season, but it ended prematurely because of a ruptured quadriceps tendon in his left knee. For the next two years, speculation continued that Barkley would return to the court. However, he remained on the sidelines for good.

Barkley remains an integral part of the game as a critically acclaimed and popular studio commentator on TNT's coverage of the NBA.

Lebron James Autograph Card


This is a 2008-09 Hot Prospects Sweet Selections Autographs #SSJA LeBron James (SOLD). Has Beckett Real Time Value $200.00 and Print Run: 25. And this is my first Lebron James Autograph after a long time to wait. I'm so happy.

The Player
LeBron Raymone James (born December 30, 1984 in Akron, Ohio) is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). James, commonly nicknamed "King James," was highly promoted in the national media as a future NBA superstar while still in high school at St. Vincent - St. Mary High School, and was named Ohio's "Mr. Basketball" three times. At the age of 18, he was selected with the first overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft by the Cavaliers and signed an US$90 million shoe contract with Nike before his NBA debut. He has since set numerous youngest player records. During his first season, he received the NBA Rookie of the Year Award and in the following four seasons received All-NBA and All-Star honors. He has led the Cavaliers to consecutive playoff appearances in 2006, 2007, and 2008; in 2007, the team advanced to the Conference Finals for the first time since 1992 and the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history.

James is listed as a small forward, but is often classified as a point forward due to his ability to play point guard. He is a member of the United States men's national basketball team winning the bronze medal at the 2004 Olympics and redeeming that result by winning the gold medal at the 2008 Olympics. He finished second in the league's Most Valuable Player balloting in 2006.

Ben Gordon Autograph Card

The Autograph Card

This is a transparent card, Form Upper Deck Trilogy 2005-06 (SOLD). I have another card like this, it's Andrei Kirilenko Upper Deck Trilogy 2006 Autograph Card. I didn't forget that i had promised you about posting Andrei Kirilenko Autograph Cards. But until i get his Exquisite AU cards, i won't post his article.

The Player's History

Benjamin Gordon. Position: Guard Height: 6-3 Weight: 200 lbs. Born: April 4, 1983 in London, United Kingdom. High School: Mount Vernon in Mount Vernon, New York. College: University of Connecticut, drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the 1st round (3rd pick, 3rd overall) of the 2004 NBA draft. Ben Gordon is considering playing for the GB/UK national team at London 2012.

NBA Scouting Reports, Central Division (Part One) April 24, 2008: Ben Gordon is An undersized shooting guard who has had little trouble transitioning to the NBA game. Lacks ideal height for an NBA wing, but has tremendous quickness and leaping ability. Built like a running back. Can really heat up from the perimeter. One of the most dangerous bench players the League has to offer. Pretty good defender when he wants to be. Had a great career at UCONN. Won an NCAA Championship as a junior in 2004. Won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award as a rookie, a testament to his college career and ability to score off the bench. His unique physical attributes make him one of the League’s most unique scorers, and he will see a substantial raise in free agency during the 2008 offseason. Work ethic is reportedly incredible, but doesn’t have great leadership skills.

CHICAGO - October 02, 2008: Chicago guard Ben Gordon accepted the Bulls' one-year, $6.4 million tender offer just before the deadline Wednesday night. A restricted free agent, Gordon was looking for a long-term deal that never materialized. He led the Bulls in scoring last season with an 18.6 average. "He's very happy to be able to go back and play basketball," agent Raymond Brothers said. "He looks forward to talking to the Bulls next summer about an extension."

David Robinson Autograph Card

The Autograph Card

The Card is Topps Elevation 2008 and it's numbered 15/15 (SOLD). This is one of my favourite autograph card, because i like the player and it's a scarce card. The card doesn't have a classic design, i think it's a contemporary style. In the front you can see a triangle piece of his jersey and his signature in a protection . In the back you can see the COA and a hologram.




Player's Story

David Robinson is living proof of the old adage that good things come to those who wait. A 1987 graduate with a mathematics degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, Robinson honored a commitment to serve two years in the Navy before joining the NBA. He was the best thing that ever happened to Navy basketball. A 6-4 player with one year of prep experience when he joined the team, he averaged 7.6 points and 4.0 rebounds as a freshman, but he grew seven inches while at the Academy and became a devastating force.

He scored 50 points in his college finale, a loss to Michigan in the NCAA Tournament. He also played on the 1988 U.S. Olympic basketball team that won the bronze medal as the last purely amateur team to represent the U.S. in Olympic competition.

The Spurs, who won the 1987 NBA Draft Lottery and owned the first overall pick, looked at Robinson’s college accomplishments and decided he was worth the wait. According to plan, Robinson entered the NBA as a 24-year-old rookie with the Spurs in 1989-90. One of the most gifted and versatile athletes in the NBA, the former Navy midshipmen was the NBA Rookie of the Month all six months of the season, an All-Star at midyear and then an easy choice for the NBA Rookie of the Year Award at season’s end. Robinson and his wife Valerie helped establish the Carver Academy in downtown San Antonio, and they are now more active than ever in school operations and funding as enrollment is expected to reach 120 next year. And Robinson, the quintessential man of faith, humbly claims that “the only thing” he does for Oak Hills is lead a weekly men’s bible study that draws a crowd of at least 200 every time. With the newfound ability to attend church services every week, Robinson relishes his leadership position, and appropriately compares his bible study to a locker room like the ones in which he spent so many years as a spiritual model for his Spurs teammates.

"My number one priority when I retired was to be home, just to spend as much time with my boys as possible,” Robinson says. “I’m just figuring out how to be Dad and being a husband, so it’s a good challenge and I’m learning a lot from it.”

In addition to spending time with David Jr., Corey and Justin, Robinson is now able to devote more attention to a couple endeavors he was involved with before retirement: the Carver Academy for underprivileged youth and Max Lucado’s Oak Hills Church.

Hakeem Olajuwon Chronology Autograph Card



This is another Autograph card that i own. The card design show that Hakeem Olajuwon was the basketball's star of 90's (SOLD). In this set, there are players of basketball's star of 50's, basketball's star of 60's, basketball's star of 70's, basketball's star of 80's and basketball's star of 90's.

Today Olajuwon live in his home in Sugar Land, Texas, outside of Houston, a house inspired by Johnson and such modernist contemporaries as Richard Meier, Hugh Newell Jacobsen and Luis Barragán, as well as the Venetian Palladian style and the traditions of Olajuwon's Islamic faith. NBA big men are a lot like architects: Their first loyalties are to the functional -- score, rebound, block shots -- but the best synthesize existing modes with an artistic flourish or two. Like the architecture of his house, Olajuwon's aesthetic in the low post blended the old and the new. "To make the center position fun -- that was my vision," he says. "To add shakes and bakes and moves. If you're a center, you're thought to be mechanical. But when I faced up on a guy, I was no longer a center. I was a small forward."

Toward the end of his NBA career Olajuwon would spend off-seasons in Jordan, studying Arabic so he could read the Koran in the original. Now he inverts that schedule. He spends three or four months in Houston, checking up on his investments (property) and tutoring NBA big men. The rest of the year he's in a farmhouse outside Amman, with his wife, Dalia, and their five children, ages 10 to two. Abisola, his daughter with his college sweetheart, Lita Richardson, will be a 6'3" sophomore center at Oklahoma next season.

Yao Ming Autograph Card


I choose this one from my collection for the new post (SOLD). Yup, it's because the 2008 Beijing Olympic's atmosphere. Yao Ming already an icon for China especially in Sports. "After serious consideration, we have decided that Yao Ming will be the flag bearer," announced Cui Dalin, the deputy chief of China's Olympic team.

Yao, a centre for the Houston Rockets, is the NBA's tallest player. He carried the Olympic torch through Tiananmen Square on Wednesday. He the one who carried the China Flag in 2004 Olympic in Athens and 2008 Olympic in Beijing.

The first basketball game in 2008 Olympic will be China vs USA. Wow!!!

“I will have to take a breath at the beginning of this game,” said Yao. “It is the start of the first Olympic Games to be played in China. It is the event that my country and I have been looking to for seven years, since Beijing was awarded the Games. “I am so happy that I have been able to recover from my (foot) injury to be ready. To play against the USA team will be a great challenge and a great honor.”

The game will be start at 10:15 p.m Sunday, 10Th August 2008. “The atmosphere is going to be crazy. We’re playing against the home team to open up the Olympics, and I’m pretty sure it’s going to be crazy and energetic in there. Everybody in that building is going to be jumping. It’s the biggest game on the biggest stage in the world.”

The United States enters the Olympic tournament once more as the heavy favorite to win the gold medal, while China will be challenged to advance out of the preliminary round. So, the game is expected to be a rout. But with the basketball-mad host country playing its first game against the global superstars of the NBA, there is speculation the worldwide television audience for the game (9:15 a.m. Houston time, Ch. 2) could be the largest in Olympic history.

President Bush – the first sitting U.S. president to attend an Olympics in a foreign country – will attend the game along with China’s president Hu Jintao and premier Wen Jiabao.

Yup, i got this right. LA Lakers will win the NBA Final. Do you have a another idea? OK, maybe you'll say it's Boston Celtics. Whatever... i will show you my Kobe Bryant collection lot. Hakeem Olajuwon Autograph Card



I love all my exquisite cards. Especially this card, it numbered 23/25! Yup, only 25 cards exist in this world (SOLD). I have another Hakeem Olajuwon AU Card, but i only show you this card. Maybe next time i'll show you the other card. But sorry for this poor scan, hope it still clear.
He was born January 21, 1963, to Salaam and Abike Olajuwon, who owned a cement business in Lagos. Soccer and handball were the sports that first attracted young Akeem. He started playing basketball in 1978 and competed with the Nigerian team at the All-African Games in 1980.

In December 1981, he played his first official game in the U.S., against Mississippi State in the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Classic. He totaled eight points and three rebounds. He averaged 13.3 points as a collegian while attempting fewer than 10 shots per game, but in 1983-1984 he led the nation in rebounding (13.5 per game), blocked shots (5.6), and field-goal percentage (.675). In his first season in the NBA, scoring opportunities multiplied and he topped 20 points per game.

In 1992, management entertained trade offers for Olajuwon. He stayed, Tomjanovich took over as coach, and soon the Rockets soared again, streaking to the championship in 1994 after beating the New York Knicks in the Finals. Olajuwon became the first player ever to win the regular season MVP, Defensive Player of the Year Award, and NBA Finals MVP in the same season. With Clyde Drexler joined the Houston, they won the NBA Championship in 1995.

Magic Johnson Autograph Card


You gonna love to have this card. First it's an autograph card (SOLD), the second it's an authentic jersey card and third it limited only 25 cards in the whole world . . . Yes i know there are 1/1 auto-jersey cards available. But to have one of this rare card it's so wonderful.

Ok, you see a number on the card: 112

It's mean the average assists of Magic Johnson made in his NBA career = 11.2 assists per game. Yes, that's a good stats made by him. And today i just enjoy to see this card right in my hand. My next target is David Robinson, Karl Malone and Michael Jordan Auto.

I just belief to have them someday...

Shaquille O'Neal Phoenix Suns Jersey

With New Jersey He Found New Spirit


Yup, Shaq had 4 win in a row. The last game was vs Sacramento Kings, the Suns won 127 - 99. Shaq has 17 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block. So, why i say that he has found new spirit? Consider this, in Miami Heat shaq has better point per game (ppg) average 14.2 with more minutes per game (mpg) average 28.6. In Suns, he has 10.9 ppg with 27.5 mpg, but in his new team he get 10.2 rebounds per game (rpg) in Heat he just got 7.8 rpg. Click below to enlarge the statistics.


Shaq has a focus, if his team met solid teams, he concentrate to make rebounds so he had less points and high rebounds. But if his team need points, he able to get high scores. In Miami Heat he just confuse about what to do, especially when Wade is not arround. With his age, he get tired and make his spirit loss to concentrate for winning the game. Here in Suns he has a new future, will he get the next ring of champion? Still long road to answer. But, his cards are getting higher. Grab his cards, while still low ;-) I mean low but not too "low". This is one of my possesion, his auto card and numbered to 25 (SOLD). Yes only 25 cards in the world exists.

Certificate Of Authenticity - COA

Is there anything you like most in collecting cards, than having a card that personally autographed by the player you have adore for years? I don't. Thus, i really love my autograph cards, wether it's include piece of other memorabilia or not.

You can get those autograph by asking the player, or get it from pacs. An autograph card from cards manufacture have their own certificate of authenticity printed on the card. Usually in the back have an annoucement that the card company certify the autheticity of the autograph.

Card company such as Topps, has sticker on the autograph.







Vince Carter Skybox Auto has seal of authenticity in the front of the card (SOLD).


If you can ask the player to sign a card from you, there is no Certificate Of Authenticity (COA). Unless you send it to a company such as Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) or Global Authentication (GAI) or other reputable company, i guess it's hard to convince other person that your autograph's card is authentic.
Months ago, i bought a card that signed by Larry Bird with a COA (SOLD). You can see the example of a Certificate of Authenticity. If you ask me is that an authentic autograph or not, honestly i really don't know. But the autograph it seems typical with the autograph cards from Card Company, see here. Below are some additional pointers to keep in mind when you are told that an autograph card has a certificate of authenticity:


* To repeat: Always see read, understand, and substantiate the full text of any certificate of authenticity BEFORE you buy the card.

* If the card is for sale online, request and review the complete COA, front and back, and not just a portion of it. Either have the seller FAX it to you or send clear, legible, and complete digital images.

* Any conditional statements found in a certificate of authenticity such as "in our considered opinion..." or "we believe that..." are warning signs that the card may not be genuine. A valid certificate states that the card is unquestionably signed by the player who has signed it.

* A valid certificate of authenticity should contain documented proof or evidence as to why the autograph is genuine.

* If you have any questions about a certificate of authenticity, contact the individual or entity that authored it, assuming that person is not the seller, and ask those questions BEFORE you buy the card.

* A certificate without adequate contact information for the person or company making the statements, or with only an unidentifiable signature should not be considered valid. Illegible or incomplete contact information is NEVER acceptable.

* Certificates for card by famous company such as Upper Deck, Classic, and Topps should include the exact titles of the card, dates the card was produced, names of publishers (for limited editions), edition sizes (for limited editions), and exact dimensions of the card.


* Anytime that a certificate of authenticity does not meet all of the above requirements, consider yourself at risk if you buy the card.
