Before every game the Mesa High Varsity team performs the Haka. I had to record it every time. I don't know why but I love it. It is unbelievable to watch. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Concert with David Benoit
Courtney and the 6th graders at Franklin South Elementary had the chance of a life time this December. They were able to join David Benoit for his concert at Mesa Arts Center. When Courtney came home and told me about it, I really didn't know who he was and I just thought it would be enjoyable. When Bob got home later that week she was asking him if he knew David Ben-oit. Bob sat straight up and said...David Benoit. Courtney said...ya, that's him. He said, Why? Courtney then told him that she was going to be singing with him at a concert. You would have thought she just won the 'Super Bowl'. He was so excited. He called Mr. Rittenhouse (the choir teacher) and asked if he could be a chaperone. It was so funny. They did a great job. I didn't realize he was the one who played the music for Charile Brown.
Turkey Bowl...
This year our ward had our Turkey Bowl at Brimhall Junior High. It was awesome. It took an act of Congress to get us there, but it was all worth it. Robert has looked forward to this game every year since he was 12. He loves to go out and give it his all. When else could he play receiver and running back. :) Bob was the referee again this year. He really enjoys being part of the game. After he broke his leg a few years ago, he doesn't dare take the chance of getting injured. We have a great group of men and young men in our ward so it was very enjoyeable for all of us.
Winter Formal
On the night of our last season football game (i have to tell you...it was against Red Mountain...we WON in over time. It was amazing!!) this cute girl came up to me and asked if I was Bam's mom. Of course I am so I said yes. She told me she wanted to ask him to Winter Formal. I had to ask....WHY?? But i couldn't, she really didn't know me and she might have changed her mind. She said she wanted to come by that night and bring something to put in his room. OK....lets be honest, Robert is a boy and his room isn't always clean. I knew that I had to hurry home and make sure it was presentable. I really didn't want to have to clean the whole house in a few minutes so I had his room done and just opened the garage door when she called. I am not kidding when I tell you that 10 girls climbed out of 2 cars and came into Robert's room. It was so funny. I had to run and get my camera. No one would believe it. I took a couple pictures for proof and had to just wait for Robert to get home. He finally got home at 11:00 pm. He had to take out all the shredded paper and find the candy canes with letters written on them. He had to unscramble the letters for figure out who it was. She is clever. I encourage Robert to answer the girls soon after being asked, cause I just don't think its fair to the girls. I think it was on Wednesday or Thursday the next week that we went to here house and turned her room into a 'Winter Wonderland'. He had written "yes" on a piece of paper and wrapped it about 8 times in different sized boxes. Then he took the fake snow and sprinkled it all over the room. I know there are no pictures. I turned on my camera to take a picture and the battery was dead. You can only imagine how upset I was. I was hoping to get a picture from her mom but I haven't remembered to ask for it. Isn't this a great picture...
Halloween Night
More Cheer Pictures
Here are a few more cheer pictures of Rachel and the rest of the Bobcat Cheerleaders. They are from the last football game and one of the many basketball games that we have attended. She only has to cheer for the home basketball games, little did I know that everytime the girls play at home the boys are away and vise virsa. There are 3 to 5 games a week sometimes. She also cheers at the home wrestling matches. It has been crazy, but its a good crazy. It has been alot of fun for me to be able to go to the games and be a support for her.
