We couldn't have asked for a better group of kids for Robert to have gone to Homecoming with this year. They are some of his closest friends, including the girls. His friend Heidi went with Dallin, Kolter took Courtney, and Brandon asked Tannis. This group of kids are amazing!! Its really hard for a parent to let their kid go out into this world, but this group of kids makes it alot easier. They are such a good influence in his life. They all make good choices when that is so not the cool thing to do. We all know that friends will make or break you and I am so thankful for this group of kids for how they have influenced his life for the better. But I just don't understand why he continues to pick the tallest kids at school to hang out with. He loves the group picture, because he looked taller then his 6 foot plus friends. :)

Homecoming Group
Rachel gets her braces off !!
Brimhall football and Rachel Cheering
R
Rachel is a Bobcat cheerleader!! She loves doing cheer. I have to share a story about how this all came about. At the end of her 8th grade year she asked if she could try out for cheer. I knew that she had no experience doing this and she had only taken ballet and tap. Not gymnastics. I thought for sure that this would be a humbling experience and that she would learn alot about herself when she didn't make the squad. Boy was I mistaken. I think it was then a humbling experience for MOM. She just didn't make the cheer squad. She is the Captain of the squad. She loves to cheer. I have really enjoyed the oppurtunity I have had to go and watch her cheer. For those of you who really know me, you know that I wouldn't miss a game. She cheers for the football and volleyball team right now, and starting the end of November she will start cheering for boys and girls basketball and all the home wrestling matches. She is amazing. She is a great leader. She has turned out to be such an amazing young women. We couldn't be more proud of her.

Mesa Football
Here is just one game that we have gone to. We love Friday nights. We love going to Friday night football. Courtney and Kaitlyn were 'little bunnies' for the night. They did some cheers and a few dances with the Mesa High Varsity Cheerleaders. They had a great time. It was also Junior High night so Rachel and the rest of the Bobcat cheerleaders were able to cheer for the 2nd quarter. It is always fun to see the kids enjoying themselves with their sports.
Congratulations Robert !!
He finally did it!! Robert is now officially an Eagle Scout. We are so proud of him. He could have earned this award a few years ago, but decided to drag his feet as long as I would let him. He did his Eagle Scout Project in November of 2007. We had his Court of Honor on the 17th of August. It just took him almost the full year to get the paper work finished and turned in. He is a great kid though and we are so proud of the wonderful young man he had turned out to be. I have so many more pictures that I want to add to this and I will do that as soon as I can get my computer fixed or convince Bob to get us a new one. :)
