Beach Sunset (sigh)

November Redondo Beach Sunset
We love this place!

So many good memories here!
 It's "TRADITION"!

 Five Baird Beach Lovers.

 The WONDER of it all...
 Sad to say goodbye...

Sun setting, but...
We will be back!!! :)

I TRI-ed and LOVE-ed!

October 20th.
Seal Beach Triathalon:
1/2 mile OCEAN Swim, 10 mile Bike, 2 mile SAND Run
So much fun to see these 4 faces at each transition! Thank you especially Eric for all the support!
These are my awesome Mama-Friends who did it too...
Awesome experience! The biggest thing I worried about was the first event (SWIM). I had nightmares of drowning, getting eaten by a shark, or stung by a sting ray - Once I successfully completed that part, I was RELIEVED! Through out the entire experience though, I felt so alive and quasi-happy to the very core of my soul. So grateful to have done it - sort of as a tribute to both my Mother-hood (post-natal) and a farewell to an end of a "chapter from my love story" with the SoCAL Beach. Thankful to God for the beautiful human heart and the beautiful glorious world we live in! Still standing amazed and humbled...

Sea World Birthday Boy.

So proud of this happy 3 year old!
Celebrated Pax's birthday at Sea World...
What a FUN and HOTT day! We loved Shamu's Splash Zone!
We are so proud of this sweetie pants.
 Adventuring.
 Happy baby despite the HEAT!
We loved this day together and love these funny fish boys!!!

Happy Halloween!

Wanted to go with the Peter Pan theme with Jake and the Neverland Pirates, me: Wendy, and Lucy: a mermaid. But last minute Pax changed his mind and demanded he wear his costume from last year. Batman won.
Fun memory. After hitting 3 houses around our neighborhood, Kalem kept saying, "This is so boring." What?!! We finished going around the block, then went home and sat out by our ugly palm tree and passed out candy to ToTers. While sitting there giving out candy, he grinned, "This is the best Halloween EVER!" Funny kid.

Another funny memory. I made Kalem's vest for a Jake ATNP costume out of some extra felt and fabric I had in the garage. Kalem saw another kid his age with the store-bought version of the costume. He was stunned and frowned, "Ah, my costume isn't cool like that!" Then, I said, "Your costume is special." And he thought for a moment, then smiled, "Yeah, your right Mom, every costume is different and special."

Fall Visit

In October we visited Utah for General Conference.

We got to see Braden before he headed to the eastlands.
We got to see the P's.
 And the D's.
Good mems for the kiddos.

In September my sweet angelic Grandma passed away and went home to join Grandpa in Heaven.
It was peaceful to hug my Aunts and Uncles and introduce them to my Lucy. This is precious to me. (Uncle Mark bestowed a nick name for her, "Leesey Lucy Burger".) Love them.
We celebrated this amazing legendary heart of a woman. She changed our world.
Her sisto friends and some of mine!

To be cherished forever, my lovely Grandma Vitamin. Till we meet again.

September Pix that Make me Happy

A Sunday afternoon enjoying a walk...

Bike ride from our house down to the Peir on Labor Day:

 A date to Cheesecake Factory...

My Monkeys.

Walking to the Park with friends.

 Shirtless and quietly reading together...
A Sunday afternoon...

 Adventures to the LA Temple...
Mmmm. These are the moments my heart shouts, "THIS is the life I always wanted!"

Havasupi Eric

In August Eric went with the YM to hike Havasupi.
Jealous. Next year I want to go!! Pictures were incredible. More DIVINELY amazing creations.

Beach Therapy Days

*I need some therapy on this COLD day today - so updating blog and dreaming about the BEACH. Homesick for the warm sun.
During the summer, we hopped on the Beach Shuttle and went down to the Ocean 3-4 times a week. Kalem and Pax loved the Shuttle. Me too - No seat belts and no meters!

We met up with Beach Day friends and played for the entire day. Couldn't leave.
 Love these friends!
Brought Eric along sometimes - and took turns going for jogs. Bonus therapy.
 This is the life!
We love you Beach! Never gets old.
Grateful for all of Heavenly Father's amazing creations - and this one is so tangible.
