Addison turned ONE today! We had a small family celebration for her with Mexican food, cake and presents. She enjoyed every minute of it and so did I. I have to say watching her dive into her cake was the best part of the night. We love you Baby Girl!
We had a very relaxing Christmas morning with the kids. Everyone slept until our heart's content then a yummy breakfast and gifts by the tree. Kids napped in the afternoon then we headed off to a wonderful Christmas dinner party that evening. It was a Bohemian dinner with lots of appetizers and desserts. We are truly blessed with loving friends and family.
The kids were spoiled by both Grandparents; Jackson made out with an art kit, train set, books, ocean life flash cards and more. Addison scored with four baby dolls, books and some clothes. We videoed most the morning so the camera was slightly neglected. Hopefully I'll get better at multitasking.
Brian had the day off (after rounds anyway) so we took advantage of the sun and went to the beach for the afternoon. Then it was lunch, nap time, prepare a yummy dinner, baths, Christmas stories around the tree, and cookies for Santa! Such a great day. Wish we were with family too but I sure love spending time with the family I have here.

We woke up at 5:30 this morning to get ready for breakfast and presents with Santa at Brian's work. This is our second Christmas with SCOA and I love their fun holiday traditions. Jackson is still not a fan of Santa so we had to tell him we were just going to have eggs and pancakes (which he IS a fan of).
I only wish I had my camera out when Santa first came bouncing in through the front doors (right where we happened to be standing). Brian was holding Jackson and when he saw the jolly old fella, he turned the other way & screamed his death cry, "NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" Not quite the reaction everyone was anticipating, but hilarious!

We snapped a few pics and used video to document the occasion. Maybe next year he'll warm up to the idea.
Addison was a little turned off by Old St. Nick too . . . poor girl.
