Today I had the opportunity to be a part of something beautiful. I reunited two people who have thought about each other every day for over 30 years. I followed this case from beginning to end; I spent hours researching, I reached many dead ends, I did a couple of things I was a little nervous about...but in the end, I spoke with the birth mother and then with her daughter, and both cried as I told them I was in touch with the other. It was such a touching experience, tears came to my eyes as well. After I left my internship, I drove to class with tears in my eyes the whole way. Family connections are so special and I'm grateful I get to spend three days a week making them happen.
