Starting Over

So, I took the RAW bracelet I was working on completely apart. I have restarted it using alternating colors of "Metallic Cosmos" and "Silver-lined Milky Montana Blue". I think I will embellish it with more of the Metallic Cosmos beads to give it more bulk and weight. I think this is going to be the perfect accessory to casual jeans or even adding a bit of bling to a dressier outfit.

Made and Sold

This is a cuff I just recently created. I was lazy and didn't get it listed but happily, I have sold it without it being listed! My husband's step-mother fell in love with it and bought it straight off! YAY!

Trying To Push Through

I have been pushing to work on another bracelet. I was able to get a few pairs of earrings made, but they were replacements for the ones I sold to a cousin, so there really wasn't any creativity involved. This bracelet isn't a new pattern, but it is new colors, so hopefully I can push through the creativity/beading issues I've been having and finish it. It's amazing how much stress can mess with your mind and body!

Etsy Front Page Appearance

I can't believe I made the Front Page! I missed it, but luckily my dear friend Carol Dean grabbed a screen shot for me and so did Grandma Marilyn! Thank you ladies! So, here it is!

New Piece!

This one is called "Decadence" because it has the beautiful shimmering gold and the rich chocolate brown. I thought it also looked like s'mores, which despite it's fireside and camping reputation is a really rich dessert!

EBW December Challenge "Snow Queen"

Here's my entry for the December Etsy Beadweavers Challenge:I call this "Ice Crystals Holiday Bracelet". Though, I have to say both my daughter and my husband said it looked like rock candy. It's true and I wanted to use that name, but it really didn't fit the theme! :PI was pleasantly surprised at how this turned out. I had been pondering what to do when I finished the initial band. I really had no idea where to go from there. The next morning though, I just started weaving on the Delicas and crystals and this is what happened! I just love it when the piece takes you where it wants to go! So often I am too distracted to listen, but this time it worked out wonderfully!

New Pieces

I've created two new bracelets and two pairs of earrings. I like the earrings because they are fairly simple to make, but look lovely! The first bracelet is "A Gilded Lily Cuff" and I named it that because of the Art Deco style button I used as the toggle and because it does remind me of a bracelet a woman of the 30s would wear (like Claudette Colbert in the movie "The Gilded Lily"!!)This next bracelet doesn't have a name yet, but it is one that I've been thinking about for a while. I really like the stark black against the soft rose colors. And as you can see from some of my other pieces, I like geometric patterns! In this bracelet, I've also used opaque, matte and Ceylon style beads which gives more depth to the piece.
The earrings are simple, but I think they will love great with either a little black evening dress or a pair of jeans! I've used Swarovski crystal components which sparkle like crazy! The ear hooks are sterling silver. The beads are metallic silver Delicas in the one and opaque black in the other (which would look lovely with the black and rose bracelet above!). Let me know what you think!

Copper and Turquoise Bracelet

Here's the latest piece... I used copper lined crystal, galvanized pale copper, lined aqua and opaque turqoise green Delicas in a single-drop peyote diamond pattern. I really like the Southwestern feel these colors and the pattern evoke.

Another New One

Here is my latest. I've decided to call it "Dappled Sunlight" since it really reminds me of how the ground looks when you're walking through the woods...all the shadow colors and flashes of bright sunlight. I've obviously done another two-drop but this one is a little more expensive. I've used 22kt light gold plated and iris light bronze Delicas.

More New Bracelets

The green iris and 24k gold plated swirls turned out very nicely, though I really like the simplicity of the silver one. It really shimmers and shines wonderfully and it goes with everything!

Latest Piece

Here is the latest bracelet I've created. This is a chunky take on my "links" necklaces. The alternate links in this particular bracelet are stone rings in what appears to be agate. They have a slight blue tint and remind me of clouds, thus the title of this piece..."Silver Lining". The sky blue links are Japanese seed beads with a picot trim of 15/0 AB clear and metallic silver Delicas. I think I'll enter this in the monthly challenge for "Anything Goes".

A Work in Progress

After almost two solid months without being either A) able to or B) inspired enough to bead, I've finally started a new piece. This is something new for me. It's a net cuff with Swarovski pearl and Swarovski crystal embellishments. Let me know what you think...

Newest Piece

This is a piece that was inspired by a comment from fellow Etsy beadweaver, Carol Dean. She liked my "A Light for Easter" candleholder and said that it would make a great cuff bracelet. Since CD made the suggestion, I asked her to name it as well and that is how "If Harlequins Lived in Florida" came to be...

Take a minute to stop in my Etsy shop and check out the newest items! I've even started adding earrings! Check them out...they match some of my bracelets and would make great gifts this holiday!

Elizabethan Beauty

I first made this bracelet some time ago. It is the only type of piece I've sold on Etsy (3 slightly different versions of this bracelet to be precise). I really love the richness of it and it appears that it has the same appeal to others. I decided to put another version of it up for sale and it will be followed by a silver and sapphire version shortly.

A Scattering of Stars

Here's the finished second embellished bracelet. My oldest daughter said it reminded her of the ceiling at Hogwart's! I thought that about described it, too.

Treasury on Etsy

I've only been checking recently and I found a gold star in Treasury for me! YEAH! Thank you so much Curlygirlglass! (http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list.php?room_id=241)
The "Scarlet" Treasury (including my bracelet, Frankly Miss Scarlet) will expire at 7:00pm (Eastern) on Tuesday 6/26 and I don't know how to do a screen shot! So, take a look at all the other gorgeous scarlet pieces Curlygirlglass found on Etsy!

In looking further, I found a gray star as well, which means that pmcookie has one of my pieces as an alternate in her treasury! Thank you pmcookie! Just found that as of when I checked again (at 2:30am!), pmcookie had upgraded my "Something Blue Set" to a gold star! Thank you so much!

Here They Are

Here's the two new pieces. I did get the photos taken yesterday and I did add them to my store, I just didn't get them here. Ah, well, better late than never!

Latest Projects

Normally I don't work on more than one piece at a time, but I have to take a break from the one after a while or I will go blind! That project is a cuff using 22/0 crystal seed beads in a two-drop peyote stitch. After I finish the cuff, I will be embellishing it with 4mm "liquid" silver, 5mm AB crystal spacers and pink AB Delicas. Here is the "work in progress."

So, in order to take a break from that one, I started this one. I call it "Alter Ego" since it's a reversible bracelet. I've used a metal button for the toggle. I really like how it's turning out.
