Sarah's Stanley Reception

 June 28-

Jonathan's cousin Sarah got married a few weeks prior and they were hosting a wedding reception in Sunbeam.  It worked out for Kingston to go up early with the Broadies and Nana and Papa and get some camping in before hand.  Sounds like they had fun, but they also had rain the ENTIRE time they were there (3 or 4 days!). And I heard that Kingston chopped a lot of wood!

Jonathan and I drove up Sunday afternoon after sending Julienna off to camp.  It was a fun party, but it didn't stop raining one time!  They had a tent set up with heaters and camp fires and amazing food and lots to drink so we enjoyed ourselves.  Jonathan, Kingston, and I stayed with Joan and Cam in their RV for the night and the next day while everyone else packed up and headed home, we did a tour of the dredge.  It was really interesting and the tour guides were very informative. We stopped at the bakery for a delicious brunch and then headed home.

Volleyball

 June 23-

This was Julienna's last sand volleyball game.  They had a double header and won one and lost one.  Then afterwards the coach's family, Emily and her boys, and our family continued to play for another hour and a half.  It was  great way to end the season.  She really does love volleyball!

Father's Day

 June 21-

We had a whole day of celebrating dads!!  Morning started off with french toast for breakfast and watching Jonathan unwrap his ninja slushi maker.  The kids and I had been wanting one forever so we thought we would just pass it off as a father's day gift!  *update: it has been a hit and Jonathan does really like it*  We also have a fun time looking at the picture book that I make every year of photos of Jonathan and the kids, we  have quite a collection of those!

Then we headed across town to celebrate my dad.  We had a really fun time playing games and I probably should have gone easier on the dads, but I whooped them in cards!!!!  Julienna showed off some cheerleading stunts for us.

Back home for dinner at the brewery with Cam and Joan.  We sat out on the patio and closed the place down!  We really are lucky to have so many great dads.
