Not so ugly anymore.

We were told when we moved into our apartment that they would paint the outside in the spring. We were glad because our building was hideously ugly. Spring came and no painters, so we figured it was just a lie, we started to not care. Well... it wasn't a lie, they actually came and painted!

This is another building that is in a lot better shape than ours was, so just imagine it with the paint worn off and with wierd wood hanging all over the place.

AFTER

It looks so much better now, I had to get used to the red, but I like it now. Now if they could only get AC...

fun craft!

I have been wanting to do something crafty for a while and I finally found a fun project to do!
I have never been a fan of jewlery boxes... I don't really know why, I just don't like them. I also have never been a fan of how ALL jewlery tangles no matter how organized you keep it! So I thought of this cute way to hang your jewlery so it doesn't tangle.

It turned out way cuter than expected! I used chicken wire for the part to hang dangly earrings, Kyle helped me cut out the wood and nail it all together. It was really fun!
What do you think?

useless post about great sandals

I love these sandals. In fact I make any excuss to wear them! They are comfortable, cute, girly, and great for the hot summer months. I bought them at my favorite shoe store Forever Young, they were on the discount table! Oh, how I love a deal!

My man

I am feeling extra thankful for Kyle today. This summer has been so great, we have spent so much alone time together and I LOVE IT! It has been so fun to go on dates and just hang out with him all the time. If I weren't married and had movied up here I would be a total loser, but luckily I'm here with my best friend! I LOVE YOU KYLE!
Lately we have been doing a lot outside. We go up to first Dam to roast marsh mallows and we have gone fishing and just laid out on a blanket to read. This picture is from our fire up at first dam (ignore how icky I look, I was not feeling well.) This summer has been a great one for sure! I'm excited because we are going on a small vacation to Bear Lake in a couple of weeks! If you know of any fun things to do up there let up know!

4th Celebrations!

This 4th of July was not just a day, but a three day weekend of fun!
We started our weekend out with a pool party at My soon to be sister-in-law's house. We swam and had great food and visited family. Kyle had a ton of fun swimming with his brothers, he doesn't get to do stuff with them too often. After swimming we went and saw the Kaysville fireworks and played with Vince our cute nephew! We also went to Orem that night to spend the night at Kyle's moms house. It was fun relaxing and visiting at her house.

On Sunday evening we went to my parent's house to spend some time with them.
My sister Amy decided to buy a big pack of fireworks for us to light, It was quite the show! We had a lot of fun.

In the middle of doing fireworks this random teenager started jumping our fireworks! It was so random, but entertaining! I tried to get a pic of him above the sparks but I was too slow, you can see him in this pic.

On Monday we had breakfast at my Grandma Shelton's house (a huge tradition in our family), this year there weren't a lot of people there, but it was still fun.
After Breakfast we went swimming with Kyle's Dad, step-mom, and Sisters. It was extra fun because our neices were there and we seriously can't get enough of them! They loved splashing and and having fun in the water.

The whole weekend was really fun. we were both exhausted by the end from getting too much sun and all the running around, but it was worth it!

Hope everyone had a great 4th! I love America and I love celebrating my freedom!

HOT HOT HOT

I love our apartment ... except for ONE thing. IT IS HOT!
I came home one day and realized that the butter melted from the temperature in our place... sometimes I feel like I'm going to start melting because of it!
Today it is cool so I hope it stays this way for a while.
