This last weekend was the annual Shelton family reunion.
We love the family reunion, because we always end up having a lot of fun! This year Kent and Jenni were in charge and we did a lot of fun things. Friday night we met at temple square to see the model of the temple, it is cool because it shows all the rooms and where they are. Saturday we met at Grandma's early for breakfast, which was the BEST! Then we started our service project in Grandma's yard. My cousin Brad works at temple square working on gardens and he had a lot of fun designing the flower bed. I think it turned out very pretty.

After the service project we went swimming which was a much needed cool off. While we were swimming some crazy stuff went on at the pool. There was a lady who was swimming in her garments, our thoughts "UM, NO!". Then my aunt said she say the lady later NAKED running around! She was yelling resurection day. A lifegaurd had to tackle her to get her out! So that was intresting, the rest of the time we had fun with Big John who made us laugh all day.
It was a great weekend, we finished it off with the 3rd Sunday/Father's day at the Kyle's dad's and it was great fun! We played nerts and we got to see our adorable neices and funny nephew!

Interior design

I love to decorate.... but I'm not that good at it AND I don't have much money. One thing I have realized for sure is that decorating your house is REALLY expensive. I have my bathroom, bedroom and kitchen decorated, but my living room needs help. I have a big wall right above my long couch and it is so WHITE and PLAIN! My colors I have for that room are green and red (my furniture it black leather). I need some help... any suggestions?

So as you can see here it is very BLAH. The only thing I like about this picture is the coffee table, I like what I have on it. The standing lamp is pointless in that spot... yeah, it's not even plugged in and we don't use it so I don't know why it is there. Please help!

Ten things we love...

We are finally settled and I thought I should write about some things that we love about the new town we live in.
1. The way it cools down at night just like in the mountains.
2. Our ward. It is a married student ward so everyone understands eachother.
3. Everything is slower here. Very different from Salt Lake.
4. It only takes me a little over five minutes to  drive to work! (I'm used to a 35 minute drive)
5. We live within jogging distance to the mouth of Logan canyon.
6. We always here the sound of birds singing... which we love unless that singing includes the crows.
7. The fact that I filled up the gas tank and it took over three weeks to have to fill it again. Normally it would be gone in a week and a half.
8. There are numerous lakes and ponds to go fish at. (This one was for Kyle)
9. We could easily walk to the Temple!
10. Our house is filled with just our stuff... I know that sounds wierd, but  I wasn't able to use my bathroom, kitchen and some of my livingroom stuff while living with  my parents.

We are really enjoying ourselves and I don't feel like that much has changed. We are away from family and have new jobs, but everything else is the same. For some reason I got myself all worked up that moving up here was going to be some major life change, but what I didn't think of is the fact that the most important thing stayed the same.... Kyle. If I were by myself I would be the biggest loner, but my best friend is here and so I haven't really noticed that much of a change.
