THE RULES:
1. Post these rules
2. Post 11 random things about yourself
3. Answer the questions provided by the one who tagged you
4. Create 11 new questions for the people you tag
5. Tag 11 people

1. I love baking... If I could make baked treats everyday and not gain 50lbs I would.
2. I don't love crafting as much as I think I do. Every time I plan a craft I get excited and then I realize while I'm doing it that I'm not having that much fun (unless it's with other ladies).
3. I am a secret homebody. When people invite us to things I get social anxiety before going. I always go and have a good time, but I would usually prefer staying at home or just being with Kyle.
4. I want to get a degree in sociology and human development. That stuff fascinates me.
5. I feel like a small town girl because every time we go to Salt Lake I can't believe how busy it is. Last month I had to drive on the freeway for the first time in a YEAR. I was scared to merge.
6. I keep having hair massacres. I was taking a prescription that caused my hair to frizz and then I burnt my bangs. It is still recovering, but I don't know if it will ever be the same. I also have dye free hair.
7. I love veggies in the summer, but in the winter I don't really like them.
8. I am forgetful. REALLY forgetful. I have to write things down or set an alert to remember.
9. When I cook meals I usually don't feel like eating when it is ready, but if someone else cooks I eat too much.
10. I love rainy days. I feel like I should live in Seattle.
11. The other day a girl told me she was engaged (she is only 18) and I thought oh my you are so young. And then I remembered that I was 18 when I got engaged and hated that people called me young.

1.  What are your five favorite books? Hunger Games, Pride and Prejudice, Gables Against the Sky, Children of the Promise (series), Ender's Game.
2.  What is your favorite household chore? Bathroom... I know weird.
3.  Where would you most like to travel? Europe
4.  Who do you know that is really funny? People at my work are way funny and Kyle.
5.  What is your least favorite food?  (Besides lima beans.) Sun dried tomatoes
6.  What is your favorite kids' show? Aurther (having fun isn't hard when you've got a library card!)
7.  What was your favorite movie when you were a kid? All disney movies
8.  Grade when you had your least favorite school picture? 6th
9.  Who do you want to be like when you grow up? A mix between my Mom and my Aunt Robyn. Perfect combo.
10.  Where do you want to live when you retire?  (somewhere by family?  somewhere you have never been?  some place you visit and love?  where you grew up?) By family. I love being able to hang out with family.
11.  What is something funny that has happened to you or someone close to you in the last year?  I feel kinda lame that I seriously can't think of anything for this one.

My questions:
1. What instrument would you like to learn that you don't already know?
2. Do you celebrate the little holidays in your home (April fools, St Patrick etc)?

Kyle's surgery

Kyle's feet have been hurting him for as long as I've known him and before that. It doesn't help that every job that he has had is on his feet. So finally he broke down and got them checked out. The doctor took some xrays and found that he has an extra bone in each foot, the right being a lot bigger. He said that the pain of what Kyle had was like walking on fractured feet. Poor guy! I felt so bad about it when he told me. He is such a trooper.
So we scheduled surgery. He will be out of work for the 5-8 week recovery because he can't put any weight on it at all.
Here is Kyle right before surgery being goofy as usual.

The first couple of days he was on crutches, but he would come home so tired from school that he had no energy to do anything else. Also the doctor was worried about him slipping on the ice so we rented him a scooter (or at least that's what I call it). He says it is so nice and way faster for him to get around.

I do have to say that he is fast on that thing and it is so fun to watch him zip around corners. People just laugh. I have realized how much Kyle really does for me around the house. Even though he still helps out a ton there is a lot more that I have to do around here. I love Kyle and hope that it heals quickly and that he is able to enjoy jogging and playing Basketball again without pain!

Is it really Winter?

This winter has been a little weird. We didn't have snow for about a month and for a while there it was in the 50's. So naturally we were pretty excited to go sledding when we had a little snow storm last weekend.
There was barely enough snow, but we had a blast with our good friends Brian and Dara.

Playing catch up

December was a busy month! We had a lot of fun spending time with family. The first weekend we went to Vegas for Melissa and Brett's wedding. It was a pretty, but cold day. It reminded me a lot of my wedding day. Melissa is one of my favorite cousins and I loved seeing her so happy!

Later on in the month we went to the temple square Christmas concert with my family. It was our first time going and we LOVED it! What a way to get into the Christmas mood! I will be trying to get tickets from now on.

Unfortunately I didn't take any other pictures of our holiday besides this one of Toby with his Christmas gift.

Christmas was great and I actually really liked it being on Sunday. It was a good reminder to make the holiday center around Christ.

Lazy

Do you ever have a spell of laziness in your life???
I'm currently suffering from one. I was blaming the infertility drugs that are chuck full of hormones, but I'm starting to doubt my theory. During the summer I was a runner. I was starting to become legit, and by legit I mean I could run two miles without stopping or having a hard time breathing. A miracle of sorts. But as soon as I started taking those drugs it all stopped and I got lazy. BOO! I need your help ladies (I am assuming that only ladies read my blog). What do you do to motivate yourselves. Also if any of you have used fertility drugs did this happen to you?

update

I realized today that I never talk on my blog anymore. So I thought I would give an actual update of our lives.
Kyle is in school and studying Animal Science. He loves his animal classes and is learning so much. Kyle is excited about where is major is going to take him and is having a lot of fun. He also works at jiffy lube part time. I am the sugar mamma of the family, as Kyle puts it. I work full time at the plasma donation center in town, I was just promoted to be Donor processor area lead and I love the people I work with. Kyle and I are managers of our apartments now and it has been fun to get to know our neighbors. We are saving a lot of money so we are grateful for the opportunity.
We are really loving our ward here and our bishop is great. He is a dairy farmer and is a little different than any other bishop we've had, but he sure makes us laugh a lot. We have made so many friends in this ward and seem to make more every Sunday. Kyle is the ward librarian and I have to say he is the hottest librarian I've ever seen! I am in the enrichment committee and it has been fun doing more with the ladies.
We have been married almost four years now and I can't believe how fast it has flown by. I would have to say that our marriage is in the best place it's ever been and I love Kyle more than ever! He is my absolute best friend and I love him beyond words!
So there you go. Life is simple and perfect.
