The offspring

Madison, Miles & Jorgiana

Baby Soft

Jorgiana, our sneaky child, once again was found after it being too quite in the house, doing this, putting lotion on Miles, including in his ear. She loves lotion. I have a feeling she will be frequenting this blog with her wits of wisdom and devious nature in general.

Mountain Man Rendezvous

This is Tyler's annual "Mountain Man Rendezvous" retreat that the BSA puts on each year. Each February he goes to trade in traders-row with knives, belt-buckles, lots of miscellaneous things that have to do with the mountain man era. He is in his scottish outfit, kilt, purse and all. Next to him is his brother Thomas, in his indian regalia. Both he and Tyler used to sing indian songs in the Boy Scouts' Order of the Arrow organization that is why Thomas has such a cool outfit. Next to Thomas is his wife Jamie and I am next to her about 3 weeks away from giving birth to Miles. We sold, soda, bread, jam & cookies. It was lots of fun. Watching Tyler wheel and deal with those young impressionalbe boys was quite entertaining. I think I will go again next year.

Have I said that she is the sneaky one?

I caught Jorgiana in the act. She thinks it is funny.
Now she is stuck and can't get out.
Oh, the wonderfulness of photograhs. I will have plenty of ammunition for when my kids are older, hee hee.

Can you see me now?

I love this picture of Madison, I can't remember where she got these from but until she broke them, she wore them everyday. They are hilarious, there are no lenses in eye pieces.

Scottish Highland Games

This dog doesn't look really big, but it was huge. Maybe because Madison is really tall, that's why it doesn't look big but check out Jorgi's picture. This thing was a beast, very friendly but a beast. This is so amazing that Jorgiana is touching the dog let alone looking at it, because she is quite afraid of large animals.
I just like this picture of Jorgi behind a harp.

Miles Video

He stops talking about half way through, so it's mainly just me talking to him.

Race Video

Momma & Miles

He's about 6 weeks old here. He's in his little Sunday outfit, you can't really see it, but it is totally cute, with a tie, sweater-vest and everything.

YOU WHAT?! DANG GIRL!

I did something for the first time ever playing volleyball last week. I dislocated my pinkie. Not jammed it, it came dislocated. A teammate I was next to was going for a ball in front of me, and I had my hands up as a natural defense and it glided off her arms and into the tops of my fingers and it popped my right pinkie out of socket. I instantly felt something wrong and turned around, I don't even know what happened to the rest of that play, at once I turned around and tried to make a fist to make sure they would all still bend (that they weren't too jammed that I could still play, this happened in the first game of the first team we played-we play two teams per night). Well, I couldn't move it. At this point I hadn't even looked at my hand I was just holding it with my other, and when I felt that I couldn't bend it, I looked at it and the lower half of my pinkie was pushed up over the knuckle (not the big knuckle at the top but the middle one, the really bendy one-i know it sounds worse than it really was). Instantly I knew I had to pull it back or I would need to go to the hospital, and I didn't want to do that, I was in the middle of playing volleyball, hello. So I pulled on it and it didn't move, I thought to myself, oh come on Anamarie, suck up the pain (which is weird because there was none at that point) and pull on it hard enough to get it back into the socket. The second time I felt it go back in and immediately made a fist for fear that it would come out again on it's own. Mind you, that this all happened in like less than 2 seconds, by the time I turned back around to face my teammates, who were wondering what happened, my finger was better. Once it went back into place, that is when it got to be painful, not too bad but I kept playing (sorry, can't help it:-). They asked me what happened, and I said that my pinkie came dislocated, they made funny weird faces and said, "Do you need a timeout?" I said, "No, its' OK, I put it back in." "YOU WHAT!!, you put it back in yourself? "Yeah", I said kind of sheepishly, then thinking maybe I had done something wrong. "Look at her", they then replied, "she isn't even crying". Then my favorite thing they said, "DANG GIRL!, I'd be screaming in pain if that happened to me". It was pretty funny. The swelling has gone down a lot but I can't make a really tight fist, but it will do. So, after 20 years of playing volleyball, I feel pretty lucky.

1st Annual Grand Prix

This was a blast when it came to Vegas. They set up the race course throughout the downtown streets, and you could hear the screaming engines as they raced from inside my house.

I called my father that Saturday and said, "Dad, I was woken up by your most favorite sound in the world. "He said, "Oh, yeah, what's that?" I said, "The sound of engines screaming, and tires squeeling. "He said, "Yep, there isn't a sound that is greater than that."

We have some actual video of the cars racing by us, but I can't figure out how to put it on the blog yet, so check back later.
  • There were all kinds of vendors and fun things to do with the family. We went with Tyler's brother, Thomas and his family. It was fun, and free. There is nothing better than seeing an event for free-ninetynine:-)
These guys did all kinds of cool flips in the air off a huge ramp. They were really good. Ryker, my 6yr. old nephew, said, "I want to try that on my bike." His parents were like, "I don't think so."
On this one, notice that he is not using his hand on the handle bars, but put is feet up under the handlebars, then lays out his back out and stretches. I can't remember what the tricks are called.
On this one, he turns the bike in mid-air, totally cool.

On this one, he lets go and grabs the seat of the bike with one hand, then just before he lands pulls himself back onto the bike. These are only a few of the tricks they pulled. One guys even did a back flip!!

Giddy Up Cowgirls

Here the girls are riding horses at Uncle Darin's house. Their names are Chewy & Yoda, because one is old and the other was quite harry when he got them.
This is an amazing step for Jorgiana, because she hates most animals, especially ones larger than her.

This is my Jorgi

Baby Love, Jorgi Love or lately Jorgi Bob is what her daddy calls her.

The Many Faces of Madison

To premise these pictures, Madison & Trenna (Tyler's handicapt sister-mentally the age of a 4 yr. old) had been fighting the whole time we were over their house. This looks like more than a spat. Fighting over a broom no-less, I guess witches in training argue too:-) The pictures are in sequence:
1.
2.

3.

Do you want it?

Jorgiana is learning quickly how to push Madison's buttons. Jorgi likes to pick her nose (not all the time but when she knows there's one to get out). So she gets one out and tells Madison (this usually happens in the car when she has nothing better to do), "Wadison (yes a W), I got a boogy for you, do you want it? Do you want my boogy Wadsion?" Madison gets really grossed out and Jorgi just laughs this really funny ha ha ha laugh. It cracks me up.

Wednesday, June 6, 2007

Hey there folks. I am having some difficulty in uploading pictures to my blog. Once I figure out the problem, I will have tons more silly pictures for you to look at and laugh. Meanwhile, I will post some insanely funny things my kids have said that need to be preserved forever.

For example:

While we were driving somewhere (I can't remember where) Madison was being very talkative, and had asked Tyler "Daddy, why do you like to drive?" and him just being annoyed with all her bantering, then asked her, "Madison, why do you like to talk so much?" And her answer was simply this, "Because Heavenly Father made me this way."
