On the day I bought our one month swim pass (early August--stupid cold summer!) I thought I'd wasted my money. We got in the pool that first day (and it was barely 80 degrees...that was our "hot" summer day!) and Zachary screamed the entire time. Benno wouldn't let go of me and Christopher refused to wear his swim vest and eventually spent the majority of our swim time sitting in self-imposed time-out outside the pool. Oh yeah, George wasn't there either...it was all me juggling these unhappy boys alone. Not to mention how pathetic the weather forecast was...I wondered if it would ever be warm enough for us to come back, if we did at all.
But it did finally warm up enough to visit again, and again, and again...and Zac warmed up to the pool too...and Benno relaxed...and Christopher humored me by wearing his vest until I felt confident that he could safely make his way around the pool.
Then it was fun! : )
The last day of our swim pass coincided with the last day the pool was open--Labor Day!
The whole family went for one last day of splash-y fun.

Really, if you could have seen him that first day...amazing how far he came!
So glad we did buy that pass after all... I miss those sunny summer days already.
