October Fun...

This is one of the layouts I created for my scrapclub last month. I loved this paper so much from last year, so I was so excited to discover my extra pack that I had ordered last year to use again!

Haunts of Halloween...

Halloween is just around the corner! Aren't these treats fun? This is my October card class. I used my favorite Halloween stamps mixed with some new and old products to create these threats. My kids always have a fun time "Booing" neighbors and friends with these.

Boo!

We have three weeks of summer break left and then we start school.  Fall is right round the corner! I am hoping to reach my goal of getting totally caught up...still one year behind, plus a few fill in the blanks before that...yikes!

Happy Halloween...

This block project has been on my "To Do" List for over a year now.  I purchased the blocks last year before Halloween and I finally got them done just in time for this year's Halloween.  I absolutely love this years' Howlstooth and Scaringbone dsp, so holding off on this project actually turned out to be great!  I also used the Mixed Medley, Spooky Bingo Bits, Wacky Wishes, and Wicked Cool stamp sets to complete this project, as well as some other materials that I had lying around. And if you don't own the Simply Scored Scoring Tool, it is a must in creating fast and easy yo-yo's.

I also forgot to post these fun name cards a friend  and I made for a Halloween dinner for the youth at our church last week.  I used the Monster Munchies stamp set to create these.
I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween!

Monster Munchies...

Monster Munchies #127907 is the perfect stamp set to use for Halloween treats this year.  I delivered a few of these to my friends yesterday, to wish them a Happy Halloween.  They loved them!  Of course I knew I couldn't go wrong with the Toxic Frameable Digital Designer Template #128139.  It is my favorite product out if this year's Holiday Catalog!  Happy Haunting!

Here is the recipe for the Popcorn!

Candy Corn Popcorn Munch!

Ingredients:
8 C. popped popcorn
1 C. miniature marshmallows
1 1/2 C. candy corn
12 oz. white almond bark
1 tsp. shortening
1 C. black Wilton candy melts
1/4 C. sprinkles

Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine the popcorn, marshmallows, and candy corn.  In a microwave safe bowl, place the white almond bark and shortening.  Heat and stir every 30 seconds until melted. Pour bark over the popcorn.  Toss until evenly coated. Pour onto wax paper lined baking sheet. Refrigerate about 5 minutes.

In a bowl melt the black Wilton candy melts.  Place the black chocolate into a plastic baggie and cut off the tip.  Drizzle over the popcorn and sprinkle with colored sprinkles.  Store in a sealed container.

Pumpkin Patch...

I love this time of the year!  Portland has the best weather with temperatures in the mid 70's week after week from September through October.  Every year we hit up the local pumpkin patch in search of the best pumpkin.  Here's the layout I created for my son's album.  I used the Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP #126906 from the Holiday Catalog and Spooky Bingo Bits Stamp Set #1239436 to create this layout.  To create the pumpkin I used the Extra Large Oval Punch #119859.

Candy Corn Tutorial using Petite Pennant Punch...

I had a request for a tutorial in how to make the Candy Corn using the Petite Pennant Punch...so here it goes.

Take three pieces of cardstock to represent the colors of the Candy Corn
Punch 1 scallop triangle out of each piece
So you have your 3 pieces
Leave the Yellow alone, Cut the top off of the Orange(about 2 scallops) and the tip off the White(about 3 scallops)
Layer the Orange over the Yellow
Layer the White over the Orange
Voila, the Perfect Candy Corn via the Petite Pennant Punch!

You will need:
  • Petite Pennant Builder Punch #122361
  • Brights Collection Designer Series Paper #117155 or Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper #126902
  • Whisper White Cardstock#100730

Happy Halloween...

Last Halloween I made these fun Candy Corn Treats.  I love creating Candy Corn with the Petite Pennant Punch and love this year's Howlstooth and Scaringbone designer paper.  The combo of the two along with the Hand Penned Holidays stamp set made for a fun Halloween card.

Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit...

I love the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit(#126914).  There are so many things you can do with the supplies in the kit.  I thought it would be fun to dress up the treat bags a bit by Sponge Daubing(#102892)0 the0m with my ink.   I had to allow a good half hour for the ink to dry before I could embellish them.  I stamped the images with the Googly Ghouls stamp set(#128063) which can be found in the Holiday Catalog. This is a really fun project and super easy, anyone can do it.

Googly Ghouls...

Back in June I held a card class at my local library.  I had such a great turn out that they asked me to come back in October.  We will be making three cards again.  I decided since it's going to be in October that it would be fun to do a holiday sampler and make a card for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The class is Free.  So if you are available Friday October 19th, from 6:30-8pm, you should sign up for this class through the Cedar Mill Library located in Portland, OR.  Email me for more details if you are interested!

Halloween S'mores in a Jar...

I was at target the other day and just couldn't resist these darling marshmellow peeps. This is the "S'mores in a Jar" idea that has been floating around blogland for the past couple of years. But of course it needed its own little Stampin' UP! touch.

I used the Pick Your Poison Quick Accents(#124263) and Pick Your Poison DSP(#124001) with the Linen Thread(#104199) and Basic Black Satin Ribbon(#117285) to create the tag and decorate the jar. I used the Simply Scored Scoring Tool(#122334), an absolute must have in any craft room, and the Two Tags Die(#115954) for the BIG SHOT to create the tag in literally two minutes! This took no time at all and I think it turned out pretty cute. What a fun way to wish a friend, teacher, neighbor, etc. a Happy Halloween!

The BIG SHOT has been the best investment I have ever made, and there are just 3 days left to get one FREE when you join Stampin' UP! Already have the BIG SHOT? No worries, when you join my team you can pick out $100 of FREE product. The products can be chosen from any of the current catalogs, and the shipping is FREE. A Closer Look...

Here is a closer look at the treats I created this month for my Halloween themed card class. I love the new Candy Wrapper die for the Big Shot, and can't wait to make Christmas treats with it. If you don't have it yet, what are you waiting for? I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween.

A Little Treat...

I made about 17 of these treats for the gals that participated in my Wicked Halloween Treats class and Scrapclub this month. It is my Happy Halloween to them. I love the Smootch Spritz. This was the first time I have used and I think I might get addicted to this stuff. I can't wait to try it on my Christmas Cards.
