merry real christmas!

 last year's ornament: a globe with a heart on san diego and afghanistan. 

this year we found one that says "our first christmas together" with "2011" on the back.
christmas is much better when we're together.

 santa came to gobble the cookies and leave us surprises!

 this morning we ate crepes with nutella, strawberries, and homemade whipped cream. a delicious christmas brunch after church. jon proudly made the crepes. :)

he also puts jam and sugar on his crepes, the way the swedes do it.

 this was not the only gift addressed like this.

today was a perfect day.
i hope you had a good christmas as well. 

i think that we all deserve it, don't you?

 as you can see, we have a new kitten, we had visitors, and we are loving christmas. i am so happy to have jon here with me this year. it's been so much fun celebrating all the holidays together, especially christmas. it is so different than our first christmas when we were apart. we decided to stay in california until the 26th. i feel really lucky that i get to spend christmas with him. now i'm going to go read a christmas book with him and bake cookies for santa. merry christmas.
