More Iphone Pictures

Someday I will get out my good camera and take some pictures of my kids.  But for now we have the more convenient pictures from my phone. 

Holland loves to stand, and has started walking along the couch.  She is so much fun these days.  She plays so good on her own and enjoys playing with her little toys.  This doesn't usually last long because her sibs love to bother her but she does pretty well on her own.  I think that because she can stand and is interacting more her brother Noah thinks that she is fair game to attack.  He tends to push her and lay on her and can get pretty rough with her.  She is a good sport about it though.  Someday she'll get him back, i'm sure!!!

Election night was a rough one.  Not just because it didn't go the way we wanted but because Presleigh was so tired and crabby.  I was getting ready to leave to play basketball  and she had a total melt down.  I was trying to talk with her and she was sobbing and I just thought that her expression showed exactly how I was feeling.  I was about to have my own meltdown:)  Instead I left and got my frustrations out on the court.  

The finished product.  I love my chairs!!! I am sad that my kids already poked a hole in the cane back of one of the chairs:( but they still look great in my front room!!

We finally finished the fronts of our cabinets.  We wanted them done before my family came for Thanksgiving.  They are complete.  We just need to finish the board and batten on the island and order some hardware for them.  

She loves to grab at everything.  My phone, my glasses, my earrings, my nose.  

My favorite snack these days.  I love pomegranites with greek yogurt!!

They found these tucked away in the garage and decided to play with them.  

We were so excited to have my parents, grandma, and brother in town for Thanksgiving.  I  love Holland's face in this picture.  She thinks wrestling with grandma looks like so much fun:)

Uncle Devin is so strong and and played airplane with the kids in his hands.  Our kids got plenty of attention while family was here:)

Presleigh has said for the longest time that she wants to grow her hair out like rapunzel.  Over Thanksgiving  She changed her mind and decided she wanted it cut off.  I took her to this cute little kids place and they painted her nails first.

Then they chopped it off.  It is so cute.  Her hair is so curly that it makes it super easy to style.  I do miss being able to throw it up in a pony sometimes.  But it has forced me to brush her hair daily:) yes we use to cover up her tangles with a pony tail.

Noah loves to play with Holland.  When he's not torturing her she actually enjoys it.  Notice how Noah is wearing shorts and a tshirt.  When we leave the house Noah puts on pants because I make him.  But as soon as we get home he runs upstairs and puts shorts back on and it's usually not the same pair.  Presleigh does the same thing.  She wears leggings underneath her skirts when we leave the house but then takes them off as soon as we walk through the door, sometimes even in the car on the way home.  Because laundry was getting out of control I finally put all of Noah's shorts up high in his closet.  This has significantly reduced our battles. 

I made this burlap banner to add some Christmas decor to our home.  

My cousins have an indoor batting cage set up in their garage.  It is so fun.  I love this picture of my dad.  My sweet  father loves sports and was very active growing up.  Parkinsons has limited so much of what my dad can do these days, so it was very cool to watch him be able to hit baseballs.  I love this guy so much!!!  

Presleigh is the live doll that my kids and their friends love to play with.  

Presleigh wasn't afraid of Santa this year!!! She got right up there and told him that she wanted a  Hello Kitty  microphone with a stand.  She was also very proud of her bravery.  Noah stood a little ways back from Santa and told him that he wanted a Big Captain America.  We ended up going back a second time because Noah wanted to try again to sit on santa's lap but he was unsuccessful.  

Holland is not a fan of sitting in the cart.  She get super stiff and tries really hard not to sit in them.  She would much rather be held.  or maybe it's because she is use to the wrap.

One night after we got home from running errands Presleigh ran upstairs and got her "workout clothes on"  Wayne and she decided to do some "exercises"  It's so funny to watch her and her dad do p90x together:)

We found the kids like this one night after we had put them to bed.  They made a fort in Noah's super small closet and somehow fell asleep in there.

The House of the Lord

We have had the most amazing opportunity the last month to enjoy and focus on the Temple.  The Boise Temple has been closed for the past year and was finally reopened at the end of October for an open house.  

We talk to our kids a lot about the Temple.  And before we were going to the open house we really tried to prepare them to go inside.  They were so good and reverent while we were there.  It was so special to be able to go as a family and see all the changes that they had made.  Our kids were really excited to be able to go.  I strapped Holland to me and then carried Noah for part of it because I wanted to be able to talk to him about it as we went through.  Wayne held Presleigh and talked with her about the different rooms.

After we left I asked the kids what their favorite part of the temple was.  Noah didn't really give me a response, but Presleigh said, "my favorite was the room where I will put on my dress."  It was such a sweet moment for me.

After the open house ended Wayne and I were able to go to the rededication.  We are so lucky to have good friends here who were willing to watch our kids so that we could go together. 

End of October

 Wow, I am so behind on the blog front.  Hopefully one of these days I will get it together and become an amazing blogger.

Headstands against the wall have been a fun little contest for the kids.

Holland is very interested in what her brother and sister are doing.  She climbs on them and tries to take their toys.  This picture was captured because I thought it was funny how the kids realized that Holland wouldn't leave them alone.  So they moved to the couch.

Got Mastitis for the fourth time.  Wayne stayed home and took care of me.  Luckily I caught it early so it didn't get too bad.  I have a new love/hate relationship with breastfeeding.

This just makes me laugh. 

I had a fun plan for Halloween.  We were all going to be super heroes.  Well Presleigh made other plans as soon as she saw the rapunzel pattern at Hobby Lobby.  I tried to talk her out of it and even told her that I couldn't make it because it looked way too advanced for my skills.  So when we were in Utah, she asked Grandma Patsy to make it for her.  So Grandma whipped this up for her one day.  We brought it home and I embellished it and made the braid.  She was so excited about it:)

Holland loves the stairs.  She seems so determined to climb them and makes her way over there too often.  My favorite is when I realize that she is over there and I say "Holland."  She jumps and then gets all excited like she knows she is doing something she shouldn't be.  I've actually been impressed with her balance on them.  We now have the gate up:)

We went to a local farm and picked up these beauties. The kids were excited to have them carved but obviously couldn't help much with the carving.  They did pick out the patterns.  Presleigh picked Rapunzel (surprise) and Noah picked Phineas.

Presleigh participated in her first Primary program at church.  She was so excited for it and did really well. 

Presleigh has started carrying Holland.  Still not sure how I feel about this.  

It took us two nights to finish these.  Wayne did most of it:)

Halloween night.  We went to the Lewis' neighborhood first.  Then we went to our Ward trunk or treat.  Then we headed out around our neighborhood.  It was perfect trick or treat weather. 

Standing like a big girl

My chairs!!!! I had been looking for two chairs ever since we moved in to our new house.  I even had a friend on the hunt for some too.  I really needed them to be small scaled and barrel.  After months of looking I finally found these for $25 on Craigslist...Score!!!!

Utah Vacation part 2

The kids with their couisn Laila.  They absolutely love this girl.  They were so excited to see her and play with her.  They had fun running around with her. 

It was so cute to watch Presleigh with Laila.  I was able to see how she is going to be when Holland gets a little older and is able to tag along.

Of course Presleigh is always super excited to see Grandma Patsy.  We are so grateful that we get to see her quite often. 

Another favorite of Holland with her Grandma.  I love the way she focuses on people.  She reminds me so much of Presleigh when Presleigh was a baby.  She will stare at people and wait for them to see her and then will flash a big smile. 

Pres and Noah were in Heaven at the Disney store.  They wanted everything, but were surprisingly really well behaved. I didn't buy a single thing there and my kiddos didn't throw a fit:)

Presleigh loved the castle and tried one of the dresses on.  I think this is when she decided that she wanted to be rapunzel for Halloween.

Our kids mastered the monkey bars while we were there.  They were so excited and proud of themselves.  It was pretty impressive.

So after our visit with Wayne's family we met up with my family a little bit further south in Eagle Mountain at Julie and Paul's.  My mom, dad and grandma were there visiting so we got to spend time with all of them.  We went to Gardner village and walked around.  We did some shopping and played lots of cards:) It is always so fun to visit Julie and Paul but we enjoyed the bonus of having the other fam there too. 

Utah Vacation

At the beginning of October we were able to take a family trip down to Salt Lake.  Wayne's brother Paul was getting married so we decided to make a little vacation out of it and stayed 10 days.

Ashley and Paul on their big day.  Presleigh and Noah were super confused about Paul getting married because their other uncle Paul is already married to Aunt Juju.  They also kept asking who Paul's friend was.  We had to keep reminding them that her name was Ashley and that she is their new Aunt:)

Watching conference in Grandma and Grandpa's basement.  Presleigh and Holland were having fun wrestling around.  Holland loves her big sis.

I love this picture of Holland with Grandma Taylor.  Our kids enjoyed her so much, and got lots of books read to them:)

Holland was such a happy baby while we were there.  She kept herself very busy with toys and exploring her new surroundings. 

We took the kids to This is the Place monument.  We walked around and talked to them about the pioneers.  They were a little more interested in the boxelder bugs that covered the monument.

The next day we were there we went to Temple Square.  We explored the history museum.  They had some really great stuff for the kids.  We could have painted on these computers for hours. 

They also had some really fun dress up for the kids. 

There were a few mirror all around the dress up stuff so the kids could check themselves out.  I was trying to get them to dance, but Presleigh wasn't having it.

We had our picnic lunch out on a bench in Temple Square. 

And then the Peterson family joined us.

The kids were having so much fun running around together. 

The next day we decided to take Trax down to City Creek.  We told the kids that we were going to ride a train.  They were super excited.

Here we are on Trax.  The kids loved to look out the window and see how fast we were going.  This might have been their favorite part of the trip.  Presleigh said to me, "Why doesn't this train go choo choo?"

More wrestling.

We spent the first week with Wayne's parents.  We tried to do something every day.  We went shopping, explored temple square, this is the place, and city creek.  We enjoyed spending so much time with Grandma and Grandpa.
