A House of her Own

A random trip to Tuesday Morning resulted in a cardboard playhouse for Lily.

Matt stayed up late getting it all set up and coloring one side.

Needless to say, she LOVES it!

She put her own artistic touches to it. Just beautiful.

Within minutes, she was already trying to climb out the window! Not sure where she got that idea but we stopped that pretty quick.

She loved pulling all her toys, blanket, chair and small table inside.

105m Macro Lens

I broke out the Macro lens that Matt uses occasionally to take pictures of patients’ teeth – just to see what it’s like.

Check out those eyelashes.

I know this looks kind of gross but I wanted to remember how Lily eats her corndog – mostly corn, not a lot of dog. Most of the time she only eats the hot dog by accident.

Sweet little hands – definitely her favorite “toy” right now.

Emma – 4 Months Old

Emma, at 4 months:

• you have found your voice and love to squeal and coo all day long.
• when you are tired your cooing turns into a sort of wail
• you love to chew on your hands – or anything else you can get into your mouth

• you are sleeping 5-6 hrs at night and then another 3, with 3-4 small naps during the day
• the way you kick your legs and give us big smiles when you see us makes us so happy
• your sister loves you a lot and shares her blanket and toys with you often, which is a huge deal
• the amount of drool and chewing on your hands makes us think some teeth might be in the near future

• you still don’t have much hair on your head and what was on the back has all been rubbed off
• you have a lovely “baby mullet” goin on in the back

The 4 month Stats:

Weight: 11lbs 11 oz  (10%)

Height: 23 inches (10%)

Head: 39 cm (5%)

• you rolled over for the first time on April 23rd but haven’t rolled over since. We’ve been doing lots of tummy time in hopes you’ll do it again.

I could kiss those cheeks all day. You are such a joy, little miss Emma.

We are loving trying out all the local restaurants so when we have visitors (hint hint!) we’ll know where to go!

Daddy’s drink is quite an experience. Lily always makes this face after she drinks some of his diet coke, and her face usually gets all red and splotchy.

But then she always asks for more.

The cute little bakery again – we love that place.

Grabbing some pizza – as you can probably tell, most of our outings involve food.

This pizza place has unshelled peanuts. Makes the perfect distraction for little fingers.
