Let the showers begin…
My mom and cute sisters and sister-in-laws put together a baby shower for me. It was great to see so many of my extended family that I haven’t seen for so long. My sisters made these fun washcloth lollilops.
And they made washcloth cupcakes (mixed in with yummy real cupcakes).
My sister made “peas in a pod” with rolled up diapers.
At the shower, I got to play a game where Matt was asked some questions beforehand about birth and baby care and I had to guess what Matt answered. I was impressed by Matt’s answers. Some of these things I’ve been saying are starting to sink in :)
Thank you to all who came and were involved with the shower. Baby girl and I are very grateful for your love and support.

Back with Family
We’ve made it to Utah with no flight delays (even with a connection in JFK) and made it to Salt Lake early. We were greeted with cold winds and warm smiles. It feels good to be with family, but we’ve definitely become accustomed to the warmer, milder climate of Virginia. It even snowed the second day we were here.
Waiting in JFK, trying to walk as much as possible to prepare for the 4.5 hour flight ahead. I still ended up getting swollen ankles, even though I was up every hour having to use the bathroom.
Matt took advantage of the time by downloading World of Warcraft on the laptop.
As soon as we landed, we were surprised with the good news that another Chapman baby is on the way. I am super excited for Jason and Candice.
