Pumpkin Carving

Oct282009_0003

We had our annual pumpkin carving party. Everyone did a great job on their pumpkins! Bet you can’t guess which one is mine! And Matt’s is the one in the middle in the back. Can you guess who he carved?  We had some yummy halloween treats, too, like mini-candied apples, green-ghoul punch with scary floating spiders, meatballs, chips and dip, and of course candy. I think pumpkin carving is my favorite part of Halloween!

Rainy Day Activity

It was a rainy Saturday but we decided to brave the rain and drive west to Carter’s Mountain Orchard for some apple picking with our friends. Needless to say, we got wet and muddy. But we had fun enjoying an apple slushie, picking fuji’s that were delicious, and Matt picking a pumpkin with the biggest stem any of us had ever seen! We warmed up in Charlottesville with some Mexican food before going our separate ways.

Belly Update

For those of you that want to see my ever-growing belly and my belly button that’s flirting with the idea of being an outie.

{our little girl}

We had an ultrasound with the perinatal center today. My doctor wanted a second opinion on some things that she thought might be a concern. We are happy to say that everything is fine. We have a healthy, wiggly baby that’s about a pound now. I’ve been feeling her move more and more lately, which is the coolest feeling ever.
