One Last Weekend with the Burk's

Corey and Jill came down to Richmond one last time before they make their trek to Utah. They came and stayed for the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. It was so fun having them here. The two days consisted of card games, eating, watching Evan Almighty, relaxing, and playing Guitar Hero. They have already started the 2000 mile drive across the country and we hope it was a safe trip. We will miss having them so close. And I really don't know who we'll turn to when we need a tour of Washington DC :) Love you guys!!

Bitter Sweet

It's a bitter sweet feeling when you hear that someone you adore has passed away. Our beloved Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley died Sunday night at the age of 97. President Hinckley was known around the world for his service and love to everyone, not just Mormons. He was my favorite Prophet and I will miss hearing his messages at General Conference. But I know that he is happy now to be with his dear wife, Marjorie, who passed in 2004. He will be remembered forever for how he helped this great church grow.

PUZZLES!

We have really gotten into doing puzzles with our friends
Awhile back, we worked with Brian and Kimberly on this puzzle. We knew it would be a challenge considering all the repeating colors, but didn't think it would take us 2 days to complete it. It was only 500 pieces. We actually started it one night and didn't finish it until the next night when Brian and Kimberly came over to help finish it. See if you can do it yourself! This should be a bit easier than when we did it.

Great Dinner with Great Friends

Last Friday night we went out to dinner with Brian and Kimberly. They had a gift card for some good Chinese food at PF Chang's. It was great! And we even tried something new that 3 out of the 4 of us had never had - Calamari (squid). It was actually pretty good. It wasn't as chewy as I was expecting. We have grown very fond of our nights hanging out with our friends here in Richmond.

New Car!!

We are now the proud owners of a 2007 Hyundai Elantra! We weren't able to trade our other car in at CarMax so we still have three cars. Hopefully we'll be selling the Sentra within the week.

Christmas Recap

Christmas this year was great. Being close to family always makes the holidays better. Since I tend to take a lot of pictures, that is what this post will mostly be.

Babysitting the cute Clark girls for Chris' surprise birthday night, which turned into an unexpected sleepover when Mindy and Chris got stuck in Park City because of a snow storm.

Video games, video games, video games... (in the guys' defense we did play some card games, Disney's Scene It, and Lord of the Rings risk)

Eating at some of our Utah favorites - Gecko's, Village Baker, Training Table

Visiting Grandpa and Grandma Going

Helping Jason and Candice paint their townhouse on Christmas Eve.

Burk Family Christmas Eve Party at Jeff and Kendra's house. Curt and Brittany announced they're having a baby in July!

Cake and ice cream for Chris' birthday.

Wrecking Jason and Candice's jeep on the way back from the party. That put a damper on our holiday spirit.

Christmas morning (watching Justin open all his presents...woohoo)

Breakfast and opening presents at the Chapman's. We got great news that there is going to be another baby in the Chapman family.
