Light jigging @ Desaru "TU"

Many months back heard from some of my kaki about this desaru light hse were producing quite a big number of queenfish and skipjack tuna aka bonito on light jigging, also watched some videos from rod & line and kingfisher. So we decided to gave it a try.

So i call up fishing buddy to book a slot with them as they do organize such trips to desaru.

On Aug 29th 6AM morning we reach fishing buddy "toa payoh" to meet up with our guide of the day Raymond. After an hour plus of driving raymond stoped by a place for breakfast.

After everything is done we moved off to the beach of desaru where the boat is waiting for us.


The sand of desaru was hard lol even vehicles can drive on it.










The boat was kinda comfortable lol cos its big enough




Actually i had a bad feeling about the weather while traveling up to desaru but hai... what to do there is no turning back...lol



The closer we get to the light hse, the darker the sky gets lol




When we about to reach the light hse we saw a few big splashes on the surface, everyone was so excited hahaha. On my first drop with the new white rabbit Mj sardines 80G i had a take but unable to set that fellow in lol.

Sh was the first to land a queen on this trip, it was a small one and also the only one fish he took photo with on this trip lol.


Hmmm somehow the boatman seem to be unable to park the boat at the right spot lol just don't know why wherever we are, the fishes seem to be on the other side everytime the boatman move.

Our final spot was parked very near to the light hse, we are very sure the fishes are around. We could see them chasing our jig all the way back to the boat but just not taking. I'm so lucky that i hooked a queen on its body during the chase with the white rabbit jig.






A few Small ones were landed too by the others but no photo taken kekeke.


The weather suddenly changed strong winds start to blow, wave was kinda high boatman kinda worry lol. so he told us we have to leave and go for shelter near to the shore.

AND THAT WAS THE END OF OUR JIGGING TRIP!

So the boatman bring us to a near shore spot to do bottom fishing , luckly we had some live prawns kekeke. Some small groupers and parrot was landed, raymond landed 2 good size Coral Trout.





When the rain stopped io think someone asked the boatman if we are able to return to the light hse for jigging the boatman said its to far away liao. But from what i see i think the boatman was to lazy to go back and its not becos of to far ......

Due to tide we got to call it a day early or else boat will not be able to go back lol.
















Sad sad what a sad trip again, this year we had all the bad things happening to us on trips.......

The rain won't stop us from fishing 2

This was a trip last week in one of the saltwater holes under lots of rain clouds and strong winds, actually there are some rain drop falling on us while we were fishing. This kinda condition i guess most of the ppl will just call it off for another day lol. But lucky that we stayed...... haha i landed my first saltwater Tarpon on a white maria angle kiss 115.

Ibr hitted 1 before me with a Ima bita, first we tot it was a small barramundi but when ibr pump it that fellow both me and sh shouted TARPON ! TARPON!.

Ibr lifted up the fish with his rod on the ground, haha everyone was kinda happy as we knew we have found the right spot this time.








After helping ibr with the photo taking i went back to fish , he alone went over to another end to release the fish. While ibr releasing the fish i hitted my first Trapon! As i mentioned before it was taken on the white maria angle kiss 115.





The fish has some injury during the fight but luckly it still manage to swim off.

Hopefully it could survive

Toman pond 22/08/10

Yesterday the group of us went to the toman pond again, Me, bryan,aylwin,alvin,william and his gal friend had quite a bit of fun kekeke.

Zero fish was landed by lures last night lol the catch and release thingy makes the fishes in the pond smarter. Heard that their will be changing new fishes in soon by letting anglers BUYING the fish home.

Yup buying lol you pay to fish in the pond and also pay for the fishes you land, it sounds abit too ridiculous lol. This way they can clear the old fish to stock in new fish.

Anyway we landed about 30 over tomans on baits last night countless lost within 4 hours of fishing. Bryan was the champ again he alone landed about 10 tomans.

Recently the weather were very unusual lol to much of rain's nowadays, the rain make fishing hard for everyone here in singapore hahaha. Last weekend luckly the weather was not that bad we still manage to fish with all the rain clouds above our heads kekeke.

I got some zipbaits lure from lure haven sometime back "ZBL Minnow 50S" hmmm they looked kinda cute so i brought them home. Tot of using them for sebbies but on this trip i gave it a try in the saltwater, lucky enuff it caught me 2 small fish lol.

Both fish took the ZBL minnnow 50s during the drop hahaha was kinda shock when i felt my line being pulled.

Mondo hitted a Chocolate Hind too but his to far away from me so no pics taken.

After awhile we moved to somewhere else to fish when the tide was coming in, our new luck sucker landed a small cuda along the waterbreaker.

I was far from him but still able to see that he has landed a fish so i walk over for photo taking.




Oh ya there was 2 luck sucker on this trip hahaha i'll tell you whos the other sucker later on.

After photo taking i am to lazy to walk anymore so i stay in that area together with the rest of the guys. I was standing beside of SH casting with rubbers, then he told me in goodwill to switch spot as on his corner there is a drop off so that i could work my rubbers along it.

LOL ok nice so i switched

After a few cast sh hitted a grouper right on the spot which i was casting in the first place hahahaha.

Luck sucker number 2 of the day......




Good news came after 1 another , ibr had a small flatheads after sh released the grouper.



The action starts to slow down when the water movement gets faster, our Super hero aka SH was so smart that he used the new white rabbit rubbers to bounce at the bottom and he got a flathead on the white rabbit rubber.

BUT!


while he cranked in the fish to the side of the water breaker a huge barracuda came out of nowehere, half of the flathead was gone lol came back with just a head.

Everyone was so damn shocked to see what happen to the flathead , Ibr immediately took out his chug bug and start popping on the surface with slowly.

Guest what guys..... lol a barracuda took the chug bug and Its was a nice 12lb cuda by ibr kekeke 2 cuda in 1 day.
