Potter's

The kids and I flew up to UT to go back to this little fishing hole. Potters Pond. I went here as a kid and we have taken our kids here a few years ago. Ever since then they have been wanting to go back. We took and day trip up and fished and fished and fished. Too bad we didn't have anyluck. The kids loved it though. We went to start the bbqer for lunch and realized the part to hook the propane tank was missing so we had to start a fire. We had hotdogs for lunch which about half of them rolled into the fire and then after cooking Paige and Talli's rolled out of their buns and off their plates into the dirt. I sure am glad I bought alot of hot dogs. The kids found a skull while waiting for lunch which they thought was cool. As we headed out to top off a great lunch I tipped the cooler over while taking it back to the truck. It was great weather and for once the rain clouds didn't get us. The girls loudly sang and giggled the whole trip home, I think Grandpa, Isaah and I couldn't wait to get out of that truck. Grandpa Ken trying to catch the big one with Paige

Talli looking for treasures, she found a old fishing lure that she was so excited about.

kneeboarders

Last week we took the kids and some extra's to the lake, it was windy but luckily we found a little cove to play in. One of the kids had to pass off a scout merit badge for wakeboarding, so we were determined to help him do it. (Which he did, he popped right up, way to go Micheal!). Talli was ready to try kneeboarding, not only did she do it but so did Paige and Madi. We were so excited! They absolutely loved it and Madi keeps asking to go back out and do it again. Chad has been waiting for this day forever!!! The only bad thing is now Chad and I will have less time for us because the kids don't want to stop once they start. (The first one is Talli, not sure who second one is)

Time

Where has the time gone? We are already half way thru summer and it seems I haven't been able to get as much accomplished as I have wanted. We have been boating a few times this summer. With our last trip out to the lake on Saturday. It was a beautiful day, the kids were happy and everything just seemed to click. Talli wakeboarded with Chad for her first time and she loved it, she couldnot get enough of it. Then all the kids rode the tube together without parents, which is also a first. We bought season passes to Lagoon and have went 3 or 4 times. The kiddo's have loved it and can't get enough of it. It is great to be able to go and enjoy with our UT friends. Isaah did scout camp at the beginning of the summer, which is fun for him. The twins did swimming lessons while Isaah and Madi did diving lessons. It is a rare day when we don't have friends over swimming in the pool.

We spent time up in Idaho for the 4th of July. We enjoyed cool weather while we watched the fire works, think chilly actually around 58 degrees outside. The kids were able to spend time with the cousins and I got to help take care of my cute new twin nephews and my little niece. The kittens found new homes and my poor little girls shed tears over not being able to keep one. (Which I knew would happen). Chad was able to get the final inspection done on the shop. The outside is now has stucco on it, doors, windows and the staircase is finished. The inside is all wired and down stairs has aircondiitioning. The shop is at a stand still right now with the 113 degree weather, it's hard to get motivated to work out in that heat.

I was even able to finish a good book so far this summer "These is my Words". A good summer read. Isaah is working on the Percy Jackson series and Madi is reading just about anything, the Twins are working on sight words so they can start learning to read. We still have fun stuff planned for the rest of the summer, though I think it is going to fly by even faster than the 1st half has.
