This year both Isaah and Madilyn decieded to try basketball. I coached Madilyn's team and it was fun and frustrating at the same time. Teaching kindergarteners and 1st graders how to play something they don't all have the coordination for is interesting. Madi loved practices, but during games she was alittle intimidated and didn't want anyone to watch her. I only have one picture that Chad was able to sneek a picture of before she noticed he was there.
Isaah did amazing for his first year playing. Honestly you wouldn't have known it was his first year. He is a natural, though he said it's not his favorite. He would rather play soccer or baseball. He had a coach who really taught the kids alot. We really enjoyed watching him and I hope he does it next year.

4 Years and 4 months
4 Years and 4 months is how long Paige and Talli have been sucking their thumbs. I honestly thought that one of them would still be sucking their thumbs in kindergarten. Though we told them that big girls don't suck their thumbs, and everything else in the book. We also told them they couldn't go to Disneyland if they sucked their thumbs. Well after the 1st day of Disneyland Chad noticed they hadn't sucked their thumbs since we had left for Disney. Even though they were very worn out we never saw it. Even now since the trip was a month ago they don't do it, not even in the middle of the night. I think they must have taken us pretty serious about not going to Disneyland. We never pressured them at all but they just did it on their own at the same time. They are my amazing girls whom I guess arent' my babies anymore.
Don't you love their shoes.

St. Elmos Fire
Chad filmed this climbing out of Portland in the clouds at 18000 ft. It is called Saint Elmos Fire. It is a type of static discharge, not lightening. This is across the windshield of the airplane cockpit. It is not often you get to see it. Especially since most of you don't ride in the cockpit of an airplane :).

The Princess and the Vader
In a galaxy far far away, there lived royalty of another kind. They mastered the art of dress up and practiced this art daily. Here they stand ready to battle against whomever the enemy sends. A warning to all other galaxies "Stand ready to defend"

4-Wheeler Trailer
Chad and Dan (his stepdad) spent last weekend building a 4wheeler trailer. After many hours of planning and hard work this is the end result. (I forgot my camera for the building part). Thanks Dan for doing the hard part while Chad just got left with the messy part. He's still trying to get the paint off of his face.

Hike
Last Saturday Chad took the kids for hike while I went into Vegas to buy some plants. The kids had a lot of fun. This is one of the great things about living out here. We really enjoy just being a few minutes away from outdoor activities. Such as last night we went for an evening ride on the 4wheelers.

Notice the hiking attire of the girls. I think Chad picked out their clothes :)

Chad's New Toy
As all of you know Chad loves to be on Craigslist and KSL.com searching for his next new toy (lucky for us they don't have to be brand spanking new). I must say he is pretty good at being a shopper on these websites. That's how we have gotten our playhouse, 4wheelers,numerous other items, and now this. We sold our old white truck so that we had something that pulls better, gets better gas mileage and won't break down on our next family vacation (like last summer). Last Monday Chad flew up to Salt Lake after finding this on KSL.com.
It is a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel with a leveling kit, awesome tires and wheels. I love that it has 4 full size doors and a large backseat. The vinyl camper shell on back came with and it actually folds right up for easy storage, but will be great for camping trips. We have that off right now till we need it.
