Madi had her kindergarten program. It was cute and very well done. They gave us time to take pictures before they started. All the kids are smiling nicely, then I make my wayto take Madi's picture, well, all I get is a bunch of silly faces from madi. She did a great job though!Push pause/stop on music at left side of page to hear song

Watermelon Head
We had a little Texas style barbeque a few weeks ago. We even did it in the garage, not in back. (for those of you who are wondering, I will expain) In texas people deck their garages out, ceiling fans, decorations, pool tables, you name it. But then they bbque there will all the world to see instead of enjoying the privacy of their back yard. Anway, we had the votavas, the williams, our neighbors mike and krista, and connor's family. We had a good time, with lots of yummy food. Chad found the water melon and had the bright idea of making it a helmet. Talli was the first to try it.

Lawn Skiing
In his attempt to have a child prodigy water skier, Chad took to teaching the kids to ski on the lawn and then in Madison's pool next door. It was pretty funny and the kids loved it. Only Isaah was the brave one to do it in the pool.

Changes
Well, we now have a contract on our house and are suppose to close on June 27th. As of yet we are homeless. Actually we spent a day in Logandale, NV looking at houses, put in a few offers, but do to circumstances we can't help we probably won't be getting them. So as of right now I think we are going to spend the summer in Tooele unless we find something. So our live has been crazy trying to get contract stuff taken care of, finding a house, and spending time at the lake. Ha, Ha, don't you love the last one. I will be posting pictures in the next few days as life gets back to normal. Did I also mention that there are only 6 more school days left?
That means FUN ! :) (you moms know the real meaning)

Friday
So last Friday I spent the day or the big majority of it subbing in Isaah's class while the teacher was in the hall doing benchmark testing. I'll tell you what that wore me out. Well they were good until after lunch. You could tell they knew it was Friday afternoon. It was fun though and I would do it again, I really enjoyed it. But you say what was Chad and the girlies up to well... Madi was home sick with strep and the twins just loved that she got to stay home so to make the day that much more enjoyable Chad called up Jenni and Steve and went to the lake. Here are some fun pictures Jenni took. (drag your mouse over top of picture if you want to read captions)

My Mom's Day
Here is a little recap of my mothers day.
I awoke to two bed hogs who snuck in the middle of the night to share my bed. Obviously they had forgotten it was moms day to enjoy her own bed. But when I made it out to the kitchen I had discovered that my son had made me breakfast. It was suppose to be in bed, but I got out about 2 mins. to soon. I had a glass of ice water, a bowl of regular flavored oatmeal and a muffin (actually a cupcake) all to be served on my cutting board with my mothers day card made by Isaah. How thoughtful, and yes he did this totally on his own. He amazes me sometimes.
Then I made blueberry muffins for them and a choc. banana protein shake and sliced strawberries. Madi informed me that this was the best mother's day ever. She also gave me her special cards. After we all got the house picked up, Isaah took Rusty for a walk and Madi took the girls upstairs to get them dressed. I actually layed on Isaah's bed and had a phone conversation in peace. WOW!!!
Since they girls had been struck with the runnin poops yesterday I decided to stay away from large indoor groups, so no church. I decided we would go to the dinosaur park for a picnic. It's not really a dino park, it was named that many moons ago by Isaah because at the park it has one dino ride on toy. But in the scheme of things, I swapped Isaah with Kylie (connor's sister & Madi's friend). Isaah was going fishing... Everybody was happy and best of all no fighting or whining, Cheryl (connors mom) thought that was the best mothers day present ever!!!
So anywho, we enjoyed the park for a hour or so and then made our way across the road to the Botanical Gardens. What more could a flower loving girl want? (Her new camera to have already arrived lol) Actually it turned out to be fun and the girls loved it and we saw lots of butterflies (when my comp program/camera decides to cooperate I will download pictures). Then Madi and Isaah enjoyed some time at Cheryl's while I watched Talli and Paige play blocks while I rested. I was exhausted.
The way it worked out I got to have evening cuttle time with Madi, look at scrapbooks with Talli, watch Jon & Kate plus 8 with Isaah and read him 2 stories from The Invasion of the Road Weenies (what a name), and hold Paige for awhile. Obviously not all at the same time... I think they enjoyed it as much as I did. All that could make it better would be a large plate of yummy brownies and the energy to sit back and watch a movie with my hubby. (yes he was working).

Mother's Day
Before I was a Mom :
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom :
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom :
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give
shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom :
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop
the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom :
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important
and happy.
Before I was a Mom :
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to
make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the
wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.
Just wanted to say thanks and I Love you to my mom and mother-inLaws.
Happy Mothers day.

Cup stacking
Isaah made it on his class's cupstacking team. I know you may be asking what is cupstacking? Well you have these cups (12, I think) and you are timed by stacking them up and then taking them down, there are certain designs you can stack them in such as a 3-4-3. It's actualy pretty addicting and it is suppose to promote eye-hand coordination. Well the big day came and Chad was able to video him. His class didn't win but Isaah did awesome!!! Chad timed him and he did one in 8 sec. and one in 9 sec. Pretty cool! (Isaah is in the camo shirt, his friend Connor is in the first line with the black shirt.) Push Play to watch video

Scouts
Isaah started scouts in March and he has been loving it. He just recieved his Astronomy and Chess Belt loop. The big award is that He recieved his Bobcat award. He is well on his way to get his Wolf badge and he already has enough items done to get some arrows. Here are some pictures of Isaah doing the flag ceremony, getting his Bobcat award, and belt loops. Chad is the Asst. Cub Master and was in charge of the gathering activity.

The Ditch

So many of you have heard about "The Ditch", and you might be thinking what? Well I decided I would post a picture of the kids there. This is the favorite fishing spot. You can always catch something. Catfish, bass, even a turtle (it actually happened with a hook). The best thing to use as bait is hotdogs and pepporoni's, no need for that expensive store bought bait, just clean out your fridge and it will work. We do NOT keep anything we catch from here because as you can tell it is a drainage ditch for the subdivision. The kids love it there, it provides hours of enjoyment and leverage on getting them to do things. I just love bribery.

Camping At Huntsvile
A few weeks ago we took a night and went camping at our usual spot in Texas. Huntsville State Park it's a bout a 45 min drive up north from us. We took Rusty along and also Isaah's bf Connor. We loaded up the truck and looked like the hillbillies with the back of the truck overflowing and things roped on. We even took the kids bikes. I wanted to pack a few more blankets and jackets but Chad insisted we didn't need them or have room. Needless to say we froze that night. But the kids had fun anyway. Chad and the kids saw an alligator by the fishing dock Friday night. They have signs posted that say DO Not Feed the Alligators but we had never actually seen one though. They were excited about the alligators. The kids rode bikes, and went on hikes. We spent Saturday morning fishing, but as usual we didn't catch anything. Rusty had the most fun fishing, he swam and swam and brought us all sorts of treasures from the lake. It was alot of fun except for the kids waking up at 5:30 in the morning because they were cold, despite that the kids all want to go back.

Crazy Weekend
So I have been a slacker... Okay, just a little bit. Actually last weekend was a little crazy and then it just went up from there. Isaah purchased a tent and had to sleep in it, the only thing was it was suppose to rain that night, so Isaah, Connor and DJ (connor's 10 yr old bro.) were going to sleep in the garage. All was fine and dandy until DJ tried scaring the boys. Well Connor got scared and wouldn't sleep out and went home, but the other two survived, only to wake up at 5 AM. So can you say saturday was a very long day.
Then it came out what they were getting scared about. The Chupacabra. ( If you want a bit of fun to do google chupacabra (in spanish it means goat sucker). ) I know, your thinking what? But they have been reading about it at school from the Librarian, long story but oh well. So anyway DJ told them the Chupacabra killed two people down the road in the cul-de-sac and at midnight the house glows purple. So they spend saturday planning how to hunt it down, it keep them busy. But then the dreaded night came (Yes, Chad has left for work by now), they want to sleep at Connors so they can wake up at midnight and go hunt for it and see the house. Obviously, I told him no. Then came the fun!
Isaah went up stairs and packed his things into shoe boxes and toy containers, he informed me he was moving out. At first he was going to Connors, he did sleep out our house, but it contiuned into the next day. It was a looong weekend. He finally decieded he wouldn't move out.
Monday came and we went from 4 kids to 5. Briella came to stay while Dawn and Jeff took the boys to disneyland. The kids loved having her, she stayed until Wednesday evening. The twins got a little jealous by Tuesday night, and I was wore out. I'm not used to having a 18 month old around. It was fun though and I would even do it again.
So I have added 2 more recipes and I will try to get some pictures up now that we have a new computer and some sanity back.
