This stud got the MVP at his Football game last Saturday. He has been playing left corner and he had 3 blocks (the boy was at least 1/2 a foot taller too) and 2 kick returns where he caught and ran the ball. Pretty awesome Will. He was a little behind when the season started since he has never played football, but after this last game, I think he has proven that he is catching up. GREAT JOB!!!

XTERRA
Mike and his buddies from the ward did the Xterra triathlon on Saturday. It was at Pineview Reservoir, so they stayed Friday night at the Lang's cabin. Mike and Jason did the sprint and Dave and Jeremy did the full. The sprint was: 750 meter swim, 15 mile dirt bike ride, 5k trail run (which Mike said it was straight up hill so everyone was walking). He said it was super hard but glad he finished. His time was 3 hrs and 4 min. Not bad for a 41 year old...since his buddies are all in their 30s :)
Mike and Jason Lang (31 year old)
Jeremy Jensen (38 year old) and Dave Bagley(36 year old)
It's a good thing Holly Lang went up to see the finish so at least we got some pics :) Thanks Holly!!!
Notice the clock???
The Pro's started 1 hour before the rest of the competitors.

BAPTISMS
Will and his buddies went Friday after school to do baptisms for the dead. Luke Adair's mom took the boys and after treated them to Crown Burger. Diane Adair said that all the boys baptized people from Hungary. Pretty cool since that is where Mike served his mission. I just love that Will has such great friends that are all making good choices right now. It is so great to be surrounded by good influences when you are a teenager. Oh how I LOVE where we live :)

BEST OF SHOW
My DAD's quilt he made my mom for Christmas was entered in the Utah State Fair and it won BEST OF SHOW. It was fun to go on a Monday night with the kids and get to see his quilt on display. Pretty cool that it has tshirts from the marathons he has run. What a treasure! The all you can eat ice cream for $2 that night was awesome:)
COURT OF HONOR
The scouts had a Court of Honor a few Sundays ago. The boys got lots of merit badges they earned at scout camp. Once again Mike and Jeff did an awesome job!!!

LET THE GAMES BEGIN...
Sports are in full swing around here. Friday nights have been fun watching Olympus High play football. It's nice because since we live so close to the field a lot of people from our neighborhood go and support. This year is fun because 3 of Rachel's good friends play varsity. It makes watching the games that much more fun when you know some of the people playing :) Saturdays, for the next few months will keep us busy with 2 football games and 1 soccer game. Looking over our Saturday schedule for the next 2 months at least none of our games are at the same time. It makes it nice to get to see some or all of the games but also that we have no time to get Saturday projects done. Owell, this time will be gone before we know it and heck projects will always be there. Right??? :)
SADIE
We took this picture after the game today. Funny when I looked at it there was a suspicious person in the background.
Photobomber: Steph Bruce! Hahaha
WILL is playing football this year. He decided to trade in his soccer cleats for football cleats. He is having a lot of fun. He's not quite sure he loves all the practices for football but he says the games make it worth it. Way to Go #20!!!
JAKE is playing football again this year. It is so weird to think this is his last year of little league. Next year he will be playing under the lights at Oly. Way to Go #9!!!
AFRICAN ICE
Rachel worked again at African Ice this summer. It was nice because they changed their location so now they are in the Fresh Market parking lot on 3900 So. and 2300 East. Super close to home. She loved working there and made some pretty good $$$. They are now closed for the season. One night Mike, Jake, Will and I had something so Rachel was nice enough to let Sadie come hangout with her at work. After looking at these pics it looked like they had a good time together. Makes my heart happy to see my girls get along :)

This Stud is running for class Secretary...
Win or Lose I'm just proud of him that he is running...
"Don't Make a Messtake (Mistake) Vote for Jake!!!
UPDATE: Jake WON the election!!! woot, woot :)
ONE DIRECTION
Heidi Ellis and I took these cuties to see the One Direction movie last Friday after school. It was pure entertainment driving to the movie theater and listening to 7 girls sing the 1D songs at the top of their lungs. The movie wasn't so bad either. I love Sadie's friends. She is so lucky to have such great girls to hangout with!!!
Allie, Sadie, Grace, Anna, Ashley, Zani, Brooklyn
~~DIESEL~~
Now that school is back in I am sure glad I have my little furry buddy that likes to go on errands with me. It is nice to have Diesel keep me company. He is now 5 years!!! I LOVE having a dog :)
MILL HOLLOW
Sadie went to Mill Hollow last week for 2 nights and 3 days. The 4th graders at her school went this year. This is her first time being away without either Mike or I so she felt very independent and had a great time. It was so weird not having her here. She is my buddy and always wants to be with me so I missed having my shadow. We missed you Sadie and are so glad you had a great time :)
Sadie, Gavin, Brooklyn
Last minute I thought about making her a poster...
Thank heaven for old Science Fair projects :) hahaha
TOP OF UTAH 1/2 MARATHON
I ran in the Top of Utah 1/2 Marathon the last Saturday of August with Mandy one of my friends in my ward. I actually took Molly's spot because she got pregnant and didn't want to run. Mandy didn't want to do it alone so I filled in. It made it nice because I didn't care at all about time or anything. Heck it was Molly's name I was running under not mine :) I loved the course and race. Logan is such a pretty place and I am so excited that my little sister Melanie and her family are moving there next August. Rachel is really considering going to Utah State. I hope that all works out because it is a great little city. Mandy got sick at about mile 3 so we really took it easy. She had taken an energy drink and a Sudafed and I don't think they really mixed well together. She kept saying just go ahead and I'll see you at the finish. I was like, ummm I am only doing this to do it with you since I hadn't even registered. I decided since I have done 1 marathon and I know I can physically do that, I am now more of a social runner. I don't really care about time or anything anymore. We didn't do too bad. 2 hrs 12 min. It was fun to spend the night with Mandy at the Marriott the night before in Logan. We had the giggles and just had fun being together. Love you Mandy! I think you are pretty awesome!!! xoxo
SCHOOL HAS BEGUN...
School is now back in session. This summer flew by. We weren't quite ready for it to end. I am crossing again this year at Cottonwood and I am now an aide there as well. I work in the resource room. I love it. I get to work one on one with kids or small groups. It has been a fun change :)
Rachel's young women president brought this by the night before school started. I love the 7up lifting things on this card:
Rachel...
"12th" Grade at Olympus High.
Jake...
"9th" Grade at Olympus Jr.
Will...
"7th" Grade at Olympus Jr.
Sadie...

Rachel was so nice she curled Sadie's hair on the first day :)
The elementary kids had their annual back to school breakfast at the Jensen's home. These are the cute 4th grade girls from our ward:
Leah, Sadie, Grace, Ashley, Zani, Brooklyn, Graice, Charlotte, Allie
The gang before they head off to school.
