 Facepuller was a band from Canada active in the early 90s. They play an aggressive form of noise rock mixed with a good dose of hardcore punk. This CD include also,their first 7inch "Pull This" released in 1991. Great band, good recording, fast noisy punk... -Enjoy it.

 Up Against was a band from Montrel (Canada) active at end of the 90s. This 7 inch has 4 fast and violent HC Punk tracks, the folded cover sleeve reports pictures, lyrics and info.Drunk Records was a small DIY label from Montreal (Canada),probably managed by the band. Eventually I left these tracks as waves .Up The Punx !

 As described on the cover, this zine is all about anarchism and punk music. Recorded Spring 1989 in Victoria, BC. Knobs and faders by Scott Henderson with arguably dodgy input from Ken and Chris. Converted to digital using a tape deck, some software and a couple of copies of the source material I found in an old shoe box. It's DIY punk on tape, this is what it sounds like, get over it.Released June 1, 1989. All songs written by Scott except where extensively noted in the Footnotes and Citations document which was unfortunately destroyed by Tom Holliston during a competitive duck herding mishap in September 1993.

 

Recorded Spring 1990 in Victoria, BC. Shovlhed was Chris Buck, Scott Henderson and Ken Kempster. All music and lyrics by Scott except where noted.released January 1, 1992 Produced by John Wright and Shovlhed.Mastered by Cec English and several other high rolling business suit types including Craig Bougie who was asked to leave the room on more than one occasion during the process. Ken and Scott still live and play music in Victoria. Chris passed away in 2004. He is remembered fondly by all those who loved him even though he eventually drove us all freekn' crazy.

This compilation + booklet is great research about the lively Polish punk scene of the very first punk era.A well-done work about the bands and the proto-punk scene from the early days (1976)passing thru the very peak of 1978...

The all English written fanzine (all the relevant scans included here) reports a few interesting articles about the early days of the punk scene in Poland + a page is dedicated to each band with its history, lyrics, and pictures. 

Supreme Echo is an archival record label owned by musician & music archivist Jason Flower. Focusing on rare Canadiana & former Socialist Republics; the Anthropology of Counter-Culture presented at a scholarly level. Its current webpage is here.

INEPSY-Unreleased Demo/Loudhouse 2000-(Ineptik Records/Runstate Tapes-Canada-2015)

This is the unreleased demo by the mighty Inepsy, Metal punk band from Montréal, Quebec, Canada formed in 2002.

On this one side tape, we find 4  tracks recorded live in 2000 in the LoudHouse basement by JP with 4 shitty mics and a Tascam 4 Tracks recorder.

Their last album/cassette is called The Lost Tracks and it is available on Runstate Tapes Bandcamp page.

A great mix as adequate parts of Motorhead and Discharge.

"Atrax Morgue was Italian noise musician Marco Corbelli (April 3, 1970 – May 6, 2007). Many of Atrax Morgue's early material was released on cassette, as part of the industrial/noise 'cassette underground' of the early 1990s. Often these cassettes were released on Corbelli's own Slaughter Productions label, some of which have now been reissued on CD-R. Throughout the late '90s, Atrax Morgue released numerous CDs on prominent noise labels, such as Self Abuse Records, Release, Old Europa Cafe, RRRecords, Crowd Control Activities and Ars Benevola Mater.
Corbelli committed suicide by hanging on May 6, 2007. He was 37. He had always had a vocal fondness for and interest in death."

Eric Boros has been immersed in the global underground for the better part of the last twenty years. He is a self-taught guitarist, experimental multi-instrumentalist, improviser and composer, cassette archivist and performance artist, curator and networker, photographer, and translator. GLOBAL HOLOCAUST-Hope?-(Self Released-Canada-1993)

Global Holocaust is a Canadian crust band formed in 1989 and based in Montreal. Broke up in 1996 after being banned in the city. Reformed in 2004.(from a discogs page about them)

This tape offers us 25 tracks of brutal grindcore,the recording is ok and the cover sleeve reports lyrics and info.

ZARAZA-Slavic Blasphemy-(Musicus Phycus-Canada-1997)

Zaraza means Plague in polish,this is an amzing project by polish musicians living in Canada.

"Formed in Montreal, Canada in early 1993. They combined elements from doom/death metal with those of eastern european industrial. Imagine Laibach doing metal.

MEXICAN POWER AUTHORITY-Haiku...Gesundheit-(Break Even Records-Canada-1994)

Here the legendary tape-work by the mighty Mexican Power Authority...a tape that blows away all the grindcore fans mixing weird passages of  jazzcore,hc punk,fast drums and speed guitar solos to arrive to a pure chaos of creativity with no musical borders.

"MPA remain one of the least understood and most underrated bands from the ‘90s underground. Their style was entirely unique, borrowing from hardcore and grind, yet adding so many off the wall elements that the end results never quite equated with their contemporaries. Imagine Muppets who studied free form jazz playing punk rock songs with the RUINS at a high school music recital with students playing recorders. Odd clarinet sounds and yipping vox offset the spastic punkiness that abounds. Kev from the almighty NEOS is in this band, but don’t go expecting straight forward thrash. Maybe someday MPA will get the recognition they deserve, but for now check out this cult favorite if you want something completely beyond the radar."
In September 2007, MPA regrouped after a decade hiatus and began rehearsing material spanning their original six-year existence to prepare for their first performances in ten years.
During 2008, the group focused exclusively on composing new material, with legendary local drummer Jon London completing the line-up in February 2009. The group will release a new LP in 2011.

A great tape issued with hand-numbered cover artwork and tape-labels.Inside the case embedded informations sheet. For all the lovers of certain crazy fast music with some weird genius hiding throu the musical notes/rhythms and the lyrics are funny too.

HERMIT-Logic Bomb-(Pulp Mill Records-Canada-1996)

Another nice tape by the "uncompromising total destruction" act called Hermit real name Eric Boros: a sound artist, guitarist, podcaster, and translator who has been immersed in the global underground for the better part of the last twenty years. With a focus on trans-cultural and interdisciplinary collaboration, he has established connections with artists from around the world and off the beaten path, crossing the borders between art, music and noise. 
He is  also involved in Vialka  playing  guitar and singing.
I wrote about him already when I posted the tapes Vomit Can Be found In Jars ,the split tape with Museum Musicum and a 4 way split with Das Nelson konzept,Mr Moto and Etat Des Stock.

The label  Pulp Mill Records was a DIY underground-label based in Nanaimo(Canada) and it seems to be associated with Eric and his own musical projects of the 90s.
